It’s a little bit of a steep climb from the city, but there’s a bus.

The location is stunning - the terrace has the best views of Sakurajima, even better than shiroyama summit observatory. The breakfast buffet was amazing.

Beautiful location at the top of Shiroyama Mountain. Free shuttle to town available, but also walking paths and stairs. Onsen hotel with large, luxurious spa. Restaurants, shops,Bakery on site.

Breakfast was a bit like being in a canteen. The staff were very good and the food was fine.

The hotel was situated on a hill with amazing views of the volcano and town below. Our room was spotless with views of the volcano from our full length windows The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very good and attentive service. My mom had an accident and staff called the hospital and accompanied us there and back to translate for us.

They charge a lot extra to use the fitness room, which NO ONE uses. It should be part of the room, just as the onsen is included.

A fantastic location on a hill overlooking Sakurajima volcano. Beautiful onsen with an open air bath. Wonderful customer service! The massage spa was just lovely.

The hotel is a luxury property in a beautiful location directly facing Sakurajima volcano and overlooking the city of Kagoshima and Kinko Bay. The service was excellent and the rooms were comfortable and immaculately clean. The onsen shares the stunning view.

It is a small distance from the city so a short taxi ride is necessary.

Large hot spring (onsen) and facilities were great. The outdoor hot spring boasts a view of the Volcano Sakurajima. Breakfast buffet was amazing with their huge selection of choices. It is an old, famous hotel in Kagoshima and it has history. Everywhere including our rooms were spotlessly clean. It also has a convenience store.

The view from the hotel was fantastic. The onsen baths face Sakurajima island, so taking a hot soak while taking in the city sights and the island is a big bonus. Breakfast offers a variety of choices. Shuttle bus was frequent from station to hotel.

Fabulous onsen. Great breakfast and Italian buffet. A real top class hotel at a fairly reasonable mid week off peak price.

The facility was a lot larger than anticipated. Due to the size, it did not feel cozy or personal, and we did a lot of walking within the hotel to get from Point A to Point B. In contrast to the wonderful breakfast variety and quality, we felt rushed to get in line and eat quickly due to the crowd. The staff were mostly professional and polite but did not feel overly friendly.

The breakfast buffet was superb with too many wonderful choices. The outdoor onsen with the full view of Sakurajima (the breakfast hall also has the same view) cannot be beat. With the large hotel, there were many shopping choices (Family Mart convenience store, bakery, half a dozen restaurants, and gift shop) onsite.

Location is inconvenient - up a long hill with nothing else around it. Some staff members are very nice, some are mediocre at best. It is overpriced for what you get.

The room was clean and bright with a direct view of Sakurajima . Breakfast was good. Very thoughtful shuttle to bring us to the car park.

The buffet breakfast spread not so good. The tables are put too bear to the good counters making it difficilt at time to pass each other.

Great spa bath facilities. Lots of convenient shops. Transportation is perfect. Very good view of city and sakurajima volcano

The decor of the room is a bit old and tardy. The water closet is very old style; still operated manually, not match with the standard of the hotel. The bathtub is very slippery which is dangerous to the old people, suggest to add a bath mat on it. The location of the hotel is remote from the city centre, it takes at least half an hour by shuttle bus.

The hotel is embraced by beautiful and tranquil environment. All staff provided excellent services; friendly, patient and helpful. The breakfast is excellent and value for money. The frequency of the shuttle bus is adequate. The open onsen is comfortable with beautiful view.

We love everything about this hotel. The location, value, free shuttle, staff, restaurant, size of the room, etc. We’ll come back for sure if we visit Kagoshima again.

Location is not very central. Amazing view and lovely hotel, but be prepared to take the (free) shuttle bus!
