Loved that the onsens are semi-private; it makes the experience more special. Food was amazing and beautifully prepared. Every morsel was a delight. Location was near to the train station and trailheads. Our room was huge for 3 pax. Wished we stayed another night!

I didn't like leaving after only two nights. :)

The hot springs are phenomenal, so warm and gentle on the skin, very private and relaxing. As if that wasn't God enough on its own, the meals are so versatile, interesting, and delicious, similar to how and what you'd expect to experience in a michelin star restaurant. The staff is attentive and very kind, explaining things slowly, removing the language barrier, entirely, asking often for your preferences and your feedback, as well as providing maps and recommendations for things to do nearby. I would give them 6 stars if I could.

No warning or information beforehand about fugu and shark fin in the 10 course meal dinner. We could have liked to opt out of eating those two controversial ingredients in the menu. Particularly the shark fin.

The location, the hotel room, the baths, the service, the light switches etc. Everything was great.

Wow, amazing stay. The onsen was all private so great for couples who want to experience the searing hot tubs together. But we were most surprised by the food which was out of this world in our opinion. We will be coming back if we ever get the chance!

The beds on the floor took some getting used to but it's all part of the experience and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.

The breakfast and dinner included in the stay were phenomenal. The staff was so friendly and the grounds were beautiful, peaceful and tranquil. We loved the different natural onsens to try each day along with wearing our yukatas around the ryokan. There's an amazing suspension bridge and trail leading to it that's only a 10 minute walk from Hanafubuki. We also had massages in our room. We made amazing memories and will definitely be back!

A quiet relaxing location with old style rooms and amazing private onsens of both indoor and outdoor varieties that you can use 24/7! Staff go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant stay and provide amazing food too! The nearby views are excellent as well that can be visited by foot, taxi, or bus.

If you are a visitor who doesn't drvie, it may take a little time for you to get there if you choose to walk. So if the hotel can provide a courtesy pickup and dropoff from the station, it will be add more points to the place. After all, it will only take, if I remember correct, 3 mins to drive to the station, but take me 15 mins to walk there.

Friendly Staff, excellent services. Each spring hot water is different giving you different feeling. Relax and confortable place to stay. Nice environment for the room that I stay. Nice food as well.

Getting to Hanafubuki may require a slight detour, but it is still easily accessible. It's best to view your stay here as part of a specific, planned itinerary visit rather than as part of a trip with several destinations.

If you're seeking a tranquil getaway from the hustle and bustle of life, Hanafubuki is an excellent choice. Although it's slightly off the beaten path, a night or two here is a wonderful treat for yourself. The location is convenient and in close proximity to several natural wonders. You can take a leisurely fifteen-minute stroll to reach the sea, and the 24-hour hot springs on the premises are a great way to unwind. Additionally, the exceptional kitchen will provide you with everything you desire.

The bathroom in our room felt dated but it really doesn't take away from your stay.

Friendly staff, many choices of private hot springs, and peaceful grounds. We did the upgraded dinner, which was delicious and filling. The location was easy to get to and an easy walk to various attractions.

nothing wrong

Very nice rooms, very large, 7 different onsen baths that can be privatized, some indoor some outdoor. The hotel itself is a 10-15 min walk from the train station and another 15 min walk to a very nice trail by the sea. Staff was very nice and helpful. Meals were great, I have an allergy and they accommodated to my diet very fast, I wasn’t expecting that ! thank you !
