Really cool place for a stay in Osaka. Our room in walking distance to Dotonbori was very unique. The owner went out of his way to help us after we forgot something there.

The shower room was a bit small.

This place was very comfy. We stayed 1 night and enjoyed the tatami room, sitting area, and traditional futon beds. There is a massage chair and microwave available for use in the common room.

Fantastic location. Super quiet, 2minutes walk from osaka uehommachi. Direct access to Nara, airport, metro,... Room was super large and comfortable. Easy communication by email, just googletranslate the replies. Definitely recommended.

The room was the perfect size, the WiFi was working well (used it on several days for work) and the staff was always available via chat, in case of questions, issues or else. I can understand that, for tall people the bathroom can be small. Really near the metro station, 2 stations far from Namba

Unfortunately, it is very difficult to find as the sign on the outside does not match the name on Booking.com. A lovely local helped us but even she had trouble finding it! Also the staff, who are very nice, are not around much and do not seem to have much local knowledge. The other thing was that the futons are very thin so not very hard and not comfy at all particularly as the floors are thin tatami matting placed over regular floirboards.

This is great little budget ryokan. The amenities provided are excellent for the price and the location was great. Easy to get anywhere within about 20 minutes by train.

We just hoped that the trash can in the restroom could be a bit bigger, especially for women's personal needs.

The space is a one in a lifetime experience! Really neat to sleep on a futon as a foreigner.

The first room was very cold, the pillows were not very comfortable and there were no automatic toilet seats.

Very good location. The staff was very responsive and accommodating even giving us a room upgrade after the first night, free of charge.

Our only (very very minor) complaint/something you should be aware of, was that the bathroom was very small. Manoeuvring in it required some acrobatics. This size bathroom is standard in most Japanese accommodations though!

The service was superb! We arrived a little too early for checkin and were allowed to leave our backpacks. When we returned, the host had carried our backpacks upstairs! The host was extremely kind to us in every way possible. Our room was small but great. The futon slept really well, and the kotatsu was super cosy.

The curfew was a little stressful because we felt we couldn’t visit the surroundings as much as we wanted and come back to our room whenever we wanted. But that’s part of the game when you want the traditional experience.

We wanted to have the traditional experience and that’s just what we had. Sharing the bathroom was a little uncomfortable at the begining because we weren’t used to. But everything was spotless clean, it was traditional, small but enough actually. The staff was very helpful when we needed to transfer our luggage to our next hotel.

Toilet couldn’t be smaller. Overall, not super clean. There was dust on the walls.

Good position, near the metro station. They provided a lot of snacks and toiletries. Good value for who wants to try to sleep on a futon (it’s not an authentic ryokan). Private toilet is a plus.

We meant to have a room with the view but turned out there was a wall of another building, making it a bit claustrophobic
