It's a good place to stay~ nice hostel design and friendly staff make me comfortable in FUJISAN. Walk out from the gate can see the mount fuji directly.Perfect.

Although is a shared bathroom and facilities. It surprisingly looks clean at all time. Me and my girlfriend arrived late at 7pm, when the staff is suppose to leave at 6pm. They waited for our arrival and brief us on all the amenities. Friendly staff.

the staff doesn’t help with anything ,didn’t give any information or help with the luggage unless advertising their breakfast which needs extra payment,and we need to pass the backyard which has no fixed road or path you have to walk all the dirt way to get to your room

It's an absolute gem of a location. So cozy and peaceful. It felt like I was back in my grandparents' room, only it's in Japan. It sucks that you have to share the building with other people and use the same facilities, but if you're staying for 1-2 nights, you will not regret your stay!

The stairs are a bit steep so you have to be careful going up and down. Train stations are not that close so walking to and from the hostel can be somewhat tiring, especially with luggage. Even though beds and provided duvets were warm enough, the air condition seemed to not function properly.

I have read a lot of great reviews about Hostel Saruya before experiencing one-night stay here. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, recommending us with supermarket and dining options nearby. Hostel facilities are great, there is a supermarket within 8-minute walk so we could buy groceries and cook some food. The hostel is right at the famous spot for taking photo of Fuji-san at Honchou street so you can wake up early and go out to take some pictures before it gets too crowded. The vibe here is relaxing, although I think they may have changed some of the set-ups. Beds are super comfy and our room is spacious too. There are not that many rooms so you can feel relaxed like at home. The hostel can be suitable for people travelling for work as well.

Great value for money. The room was big for one person, with two beds (I guest I would have preferred a double/queen bed). The beds are comfy and they provided foam earplugs. Great location in Fujiyoshima, just right on Honcho St. where you can see a great view of Fuji (on a clear day!) Shared bathrooms were clean. It was a very aesthetically pleasing hostel.

It was very cold when we visited and it was a bit challenging to find the right balance between too hot and too cold with and without the heater on, but that's a minor detail.

A beautiful little hostel with a mix of traditional and contemporary vibes. We received a warm welcome. The room was nice, clean and spacious. The common room downstairs was very cozy, with a little kitchen and a warm fire.
