Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe rooms need some attention. The building is quite old which lovely but the room amenities are too. Simple things like shower and bathroom facilities are more like you would find in a 3 star hotel and detract from the luxury of the property. We booked a superior twin room and the bathroom is tiny. Shower is in a small bath in a tiny room and the beds can't be pulled together. We upgraded to the premiere room which was so much better, although the amenities were still lacking, it was much more comfortable. It seems many of the properties we stayed at in Japan have been hit hard by the pandemic and require some upgrades. Regardless of all this we would definitely stay here again.
This is a beautiful building in an amazing location. The staff are simply amazing and are always happy to help with any requests and are very patient and understanding. The breakfast was excellent with many different choices and plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. The views of the golf course and mountains are spectacular. Although we didn't get to play the course because of golden week, we would love to play a round next time we are in town.

AustraliaThe hotel is located away from any town centre, so the first of our two night stay we opted to eat at the hotel’s restaurant which had a buffet entree/selectable main meal arrangement. The main meal was certainly edible, but frankly not great. For some people the hotel’s slightly isolated location may be an issue, but we were happy to use the local bus to get around.
A picturesque golf resort hotel in a quiet corner of the Hakone region. The Hakone Sengokuhara Prince Hotel has many attractions. Opening the bedroom window to a vista of the golf course and mountains was relaxing for us and I am sure alluring for those who are golfers. Facilities like the attractive in-house onsen and shuttle bus added to the experience. The room was comfortable and the staff helpful. We used our IC cards (Suica) to take the local bus to and from a nearby busstop to get around the region and the hotel’s transfer bus was a convenient was to get back to Odawara station and the Shinkansen to Tokyo. For us the hotel worked well as a base for exploring the region.

IsraelWe did not have breakfast as is was really pricey. There are no restaurants in the area and the ones in the longer distance close early. We ended up eating at Family Mart.
The room was large, but had twin beds. The property seemed nice. We only stayed for the night.

AustraliaWe loved the onsen which wasn’t too busy. Room was large for Japan hotel standards. View of the golf course was lovely and beds were comfortable. Breakfast buffet was excellent, catering to both western and Japanese food and was extensive — the best breakfast buffet we had on our trip.

JapanThe place was far fr.the city so it’s much better if you can travel here by car. On the nite of our stay ,the wind was blowing too hard ,thinking there was a storm even the door of out toilet was bagging .You can hear the footstep sound or noise outside the room but in the morning it was peaceful & can see the golf course. Hope you can clean the veranda.
What my two children & I liked here was the food esp.their breakfast & the nice view of the mountain while eating. The dinner has a 5 course where you can choose combined w/ buffet too & it was great. They are complete in amenities too . The staffs were approachable & kind.Upon arriving ,one the lady staff got my luggage 🧳 from the parking 🅿️ brought it to our room . We enjoyed our stay here.
