Beautiful traditional house, renovated with lots of care and love. The hosts are lovely and the provided snacks and coffee from local shops on Miyajima. The bathroom was also great and there is nothing left I could ask for!

The corridors were slightly cold but this was unavoidable given it was winter. Plenty of aircon and heating was present in the rooms themselves.

The location parallel to the main street was excellent and very convenient. The decor and style of the accommodation was tasteful, unique, typical of a traditional Japanese Inn. There was a private wooden onsen on site which was fantastic. Welcome bread and honey, water and snacks were provided. I would have been happy to stay there for several days, especially in the summer to enjoy the courtyard, balcony and light to the fullest extent.

Everything was excellent.

The house is original and genuine that gave splendid experience. Though the building is old, there were furnished with modern appliances such as heaters, toilets, and kitchenette. Very comfortable that one would want to stay the while day long.

Between rooms, it can be cold during this time of the year as their is no roof at the center of the house. This can be fixed by wearing a layer of clothes when going between room. This does give a great atmosphere in the bathub. Outside of that, no complain

Stairs to upper level are very steep, not so much a problem, but a consideration when booking. Can be hard to find somewhere to eat.

To stay in a historic 2-story Japanese-style townhouse, on a World heritage site, what's not to like. This is a lovely traditional property with all the modern facilities that you require for your stay. Even the low door heights were not a problem for a 6"2 kiwi.

amazing stay close to the main attraction of the island and the ferry station. The vibes are incredibly authentic and the apartment left me speechless. The inner yard and the private bath are very cool. Staff is very kind and helpful.

Very old house - but well maintained and clean. Shallow stairs. Take things very slow and be very careful not to break anything. Traveled with 6 + 9 year old. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Buy groceries before coming to the island if time permits. Love the wash-shower-tub room and upstairs breakfast nook. 2 bathrooms. Big bedroom areas. Comfy futons with padding for sleeping. Staff / customer service was excellent. Great location.

Charming traditional property. Absolutely huge and a lovely place to chill out whilst the weather was raining. lots of coffee / tea/ treats supplied. very clean and utterly tranquil. The indoor courtyard is stunning. we only wish we had stayed longer. The host very kindly booked dinner for us round the corner which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

steep stairs are a bit difficult to navigate. toilet is on lower lever. traditional beds can be uncomfortable for those used to western style.

magical. behind every screen was another lovely space. immaculately clean. better than expected. the soaking tub/shower is fantastic.

We loved everything. The house was huge, clean and beautiful, the staff super gentle, the beds were super confortable, the ofuro was amazing and the breakfast was delicious. Super close to the ferry boat and the shrine, but not on the busiest street, so we were able to rest.
