It was a bit difficult trying to get to the hotel which is part of the Aeon complex. Directions for this should be sent along with the booking. Paid parking but discounted with multiple entries and exits

The public bath was excellent. Rooms were well furnished and overall decor of hotel were excellent. Choice of pillows were provided but on a first come first served

It is exactly outside Asahikawa Station. Property is located above Aeon Mall. The hotel has a modern design interior from the lobby, Lounge, and room. The hotel has a pretty view of Asahidake from our room.

Paid parking can be a challenge as it’s shared with Aeon shoppers. We booked a twin room for 2 adults (twin bed shown in photo) but when we checked in, hotel staff told us it’s meant for an adult and a child. We were asked to top up ¥2000 per night (no breakfast) just to stay even though we booked a twin room. The staff explained it was booking.com website that didn’t make it clear, regardless we have to top up for our 3 nights stay. 😟

Location is a plus. Hotel is on Aeon mall where we could get all the stuff and food. There is a lounge on L5 where we could get free coffee. Nice to have a public bath, both indoor and outdoor.

Rooms were clean, and the public onsen was a bonus. Parking was available on site at an additional charge and location was excellent as it is also situated next to the Aeon mall.

Room size a bit on the small side, they had a pillow room but all the soft ones taken, recommend the hotel just prepare 1 hard 1 soft for each bed

Every thing was good except TQB service offer in this hotel. (Not sure if all JR Inns are so). They are able to send the bags for you but it is a COD service . Meaning your receiving end pay delivery fee. As I am sending my bags to the next hotel, there is no way for the next hotel to pay on my behalf before my arrival..This really come with a rude shock! I have travelled many times in Japan and this is the first time encountered from a premium hotel unable to have prepaid for TQB. As I told the staff i have heavy bags and the reply was this is not their business, at most they can provide a trolley for me to lug them to AeonMall Yamato service 2nd floor or the nearest 711 350m away. I was aware that some hotel dont received bags from TQB before arrival but sending from hotel on COD was my first time. It does not make sense to me that the hotel is able to send for you but not on a prepaid term. There is no hotels going to pay on behalf for any guest!!! Is this TQB service from JR Inn Asahi meant for local residents and not tourists? Now a lesson learnt...if you are sending your bags from hotel to hotel ...make sure your sending hotel is a prepaid TQB and your receving hotel is ok to receive your bags.

Hotel is right next to Asahikawa station and Aeon Mall. 10/10 for location. Breakfast spread is good too.
