The only thing that wasn't FAB was the beds. Slightly hard but better than most places we stayed in Japan.

This place is gorgeous! The stained glass windows, rooms, restaurant vibes are all stunning. Plus it has a hot spring inside the building! Its in a great location, close walking distance to convenience stores, fish market (an absolute must), izakayas (most amazing meals we have eaten) and is right next door to the gorgeous gardens that lead to Kanazawa castle park. There is so much attention to detail with the staff, service, rooms, crockery etc. We accidentally left some items in our room when we checked out and they were happy to send them to Australia for us (at our expense, but other hotels have refused).

The restaurant only provided for a set menu and didn't have the option of a la carte. Which we prefer but that is very personal.

The hotel is a traditional Japanse hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room and the beds were comfortable and the onsen was nice. The hotel was very close to the Kanazawa Castle, the Omicho market and the Kenrokuen Garden

The beds were a bit hard and the pillows were traditional hard pillows which hurt my neck

Location was absolutely fantastic and the evening piano performance was a nice added bonus.

Not much. Our first room had a small peel in the wallpaper by the floor, but we upgraded to the suite anyway (for a small fee). Nothing major and all very clean.

Location was great, staff excellent and the nightly entertainment was so enjoyable.

The lounge was not open at the times that we wanted to use it.

The breakfast was great. They served many local specialties that we had wanted to try. The onsen bath was spacious and they even had a sauna! The room was large with two large beds and two comfortable chairs with a small coffee table. The location was amazing—right next to the castle park!

Coffee maker is the pod type and the coffee was not drinkable. There was, however, coffee available grats at the buffet which opens at 630am.

Beautiful old style western hotel with every detail maintained to perfection. Friendly and accommodating staff that make you feel you’re being taken care of. Nice sized rooms done in deco style.

    Nothing.

I particularly liked that the Hotel has a private onsen (natural hot springs bath/pool) open to hotel guests at absolutely no charge. Plus, if you forego daily room cleaning, you receive daily a 1,000 yen (about $7) to defray the cost of the excellent buffet breakfast. There is a special elevator that takes you directly to the onsen. My room was very clean with a small comfortable couch - a 2-seater.

    Honestly cannot think of anything.

The hotel was situated conveniently close to the castle and the beautiful Kenrokuen garden. A short nature walking trail with beautiful statues leads you to that area of the town. The room was very tastefully decorated. A level of class that you don't see very often. We enjoyed the hot bath Onsen. The nights we stayed there; the hotel had a classical pianist perform in the lounge. The lounge itself is a standout with beautiful stain glass windows. The breakfast buffet was very nice. A good selection of offerings, and the room itself was very welcoming as was the service. The staff were very polite and attentive, and English was understood at the front desk.

The decoration of the whole hotel and rooms is amazing, our room was large, very clean, the bathroom spotless, and the beds excellent. Views on the surroundings are lovely towards the castle grounds. Breakfast was amazing, great diversity of renowned kaga cuisine, changing daily, good offering of occidental breakfast dishes. The restaurant for dining is excellent. Most must-see spots are within 10 mins walking. We've had a superb stay.

My elderly mother loves their hot springs as it's almost barrier free. Staff were very helpful, the room was clean with everything we needed. They even provided a coffee machine. Breakfast buffet was superb! So many choices of both western and Japanese cuisine. We really enjoyed our stay.

Very difficult with translation but they tried and drew everything on a map for us. Hard to find places that we wanted eat. The gardens that were nearby were lovely.

We did not use any of the facilities except the Onson which was amazing. It was big and lovely with a cold water dip pool and a Sauna. The facilities in the dressing area was great with orange juice and water. Really good.
