We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

JapanThe breakfast was not good. I had a choice between a Western or Japanese set dish. I stayed for two night, tried breakfast for the first day and did not bother to try it on the second. Wifi was quite bad. So in terms of value for money, I would not stay in it again
The hotel is clean and the staff is very professional and friendly. Location is very good (in front of Kumamoto castle) It had a vintage vibe to it so it was nice.

United KingdomVery dated decor and tired facilities in room. Felt like a very large hotel but surprisingly no onsen or pool No buffet breakfast. Had to pick Japanese or Western Staff were pleasant but not actively helpful, whereas in other places staff knew we had come for specific sights and provided up to date info and suggestions without us asking.

JapanThis was my final trip with my wife in Japan after living here for seven years. I'm a fan of Japanese history, so I was excited to have a view of Kumamoto Castle and reserved a deluxe suite with castle view. However, when I arrived, my room was changed without explanation. I had a view of the adjacent building. I wouldn't have booked this hotel if I knew I wasn't going to get the room I reserved.
A clean hotel with friendly staff and good restaurants. Also conveniently located for Kumamoto Castle and the tram line. Offers a view of the castle if you are lucky enough to actually get the room you booked.

JapanCorridors looked very tired and in need of renovation. The carpet in one area of the bedroom was frayed and in need of repair. One narrow window only in the room - which was the only one available to see castle. Poor layout of bathroom meant I nearly fell over the toilet each time I entered. Limited food options for breakfast, but what was supplied was ample. Only tea bags (no coffee) supplied in room.
Large bedroom with separate dressing area. nice to have a window that can be opened. Great location near to castle. Big and comfortable bed. Covid precautions are obvious. Hotel is obviously trying to reduce its energy footprint.
