The bathroom was tiny and did not have a bidet but the tub made up for it!

Centrally located, restaurants a walk minutes away, castles, temples, flea markets very close. Kyoto is a magnificent place & Uraraka Guest House was a perfect home base!

Very basic amenities, but still quite worth it for the price. The location is quite inconvenient though.

The staff speaks English well and is super friendly! The room was clean enough for me, and was not noisy.

I wouldn't say it is within walking distance of the city center, which I knew in advance but still proved to be sort of isolated. Close to the imperial palace and Nijo Castle though.

    Very spacious and cozy.

The bathroom is a unit bath, so it's a little cramped but it was OK considering the price. Location is not bad, and since they lend bicycles it was OK as well.

Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious enough room and nice bed for the price range. Free usage of normal bicycles and cheap electric one rental. Refrigerator, electric kettle and hangers included in the room.

Two nights is a little bit noisy bcuz other people talking in the hallway, bathroom is small but acceptable. Only few restaurants around, little hard to find sth. to eat at night.

Location is good, There’s one bus station nearby, like walking for 2 mins, 7-11 is also very near, room is clean, price is nice.

Rooms, particularly the bathrooms, were small but expected for Japan. Doors were metal and not soundproofed at all which meant you could hear everything from the hallway and other rooms. We were unlucky to have a screaming child staying on the same floor for the duration, so prepare earplugs if you’re a light sleeper!

Nice guest house with good value for money. In the more outskirts of the touristy part of Kyoto (which we enjoyed) but close to Nijo castle and bus stops.

The room was a bit outdated and slightly small bathroom.

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon travels. The staff were really kind and left us a welcome gift with a lovely note which we appreciated. Also free bike rental facilities which was a lot of fun to explore Tokyo and really helpful with our luggage transfer.

The room was nice but the reception felt a bit clinical, like an office, and the elevator and rest of the building felt a bit soulless.

The location was good, near the Imperial Castle, and the room's facilities met all my needs. Very good value for money at short notice.
