United KingdomHotel is far from the centre of town, taxis were very expensive (a two way trip is ~¥5000) and shuttle buses required a 24hr notice to book. Afternoon/evening meals were unavailable unless booked with a room. The bar was closed due to ‘Covid-19 risk’, but breakfast was a buffet? Not the fault of the hotel, but the weather was poor so we didn’t get our Fuji view - there’s also very little to do as a tourist in the area on a rainy day.
View would have been ideal in the right conditions. Facilities were great, the private onsen were brilliant, room was nice and beds were comfortable. Breakfast buffet was nice and varied. Town nearby had some nice restaurants.

United StatesThe staff was unfriendly to westerners, and the overall dining limitations (cold rolls the only in house dinner option) in a somewhat food desert made for a pretty poor experience. Glad we only stayed one night as it was easy to write it off as a temporary unpleasantness.
The bath with a view of Fuji was really something else. The rooms are comfy enough albeit it quite small. Really wish there had been a better description of the rooms at booking.

Attention to detail and overall great service from the friendly staff. Bathtub on the balcony with view of Fuji was fantastic and loved the bath salts provided. Breakfast was great but finishes at 9am (arguably early).

AustraliaWe arrived after lunch after a 6 hour day of travelling. We had to wait 2.5 hours for the shuttle bus to collect us from train station. After checking in and unpacking we enquired about dinner and was told 630. At 630 we were told NO . We had no reservation. We were never informed we needed a reservation nor were we offer a substitute to get dinner. The location of the hotel is amazing for fuji veiws however if also means you are so far away from everything else including food and drink amenities. The room although great veiws, was not clean. I would not stay here again.

United KingdomThe service was very disappointing for Japan, or anywhere in the world really. I fell like a number, not a guest from the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out. The size of the hotel is big, therefore you need to wait a lot for check in or table for dinner. That s ok.. what is not ok is the way the staff treat you : as a number... or factory employee. A little bit of more warmth when greeting customers would be appreciated.
The rooms with the bath overlooking Mont Fuji are simply amazing. That's why I give a 7 to my review. Only that. The view of Mont Fuji from this hotel is outstanding. The room and bed were very comfortable and well equipped. The hotel has a restaurant. The japanese dinner was great. However, iif you are a European, I advise not to take the French inspired menu.It was a bit disappointing, especially when it comes to desserts.

AustraliaThe room was too hot and controlled by a central console inaccessible to guests. Had to sleep with the sliding door open to outside. There was also another tourist that was taking photos and videos of guests while they we enjoying the public onsen. When we explained this to reception they seemed stand offish and did not offer assistance. Disappointed.
The views were spectacular, the private onsen was wonderful. Hotel also had onsens that were accessible 24hrs.

United KingdomOne of the male reception staff was a bit sultry and unhelpful, otherwise the staff were excellent. There were no bar facilities, which for a hotel of this prices was very disappointing.

Australiai thought I had booked dinner with the hotel but on check in was informed I had only booked breakfast, unfortunately they were fully booked for dinner at that point but didn’t offer us any help in finding somewhere else to eat, and sadly the only 2 other restaurants close by were full and turned us away
Amazing location with beautiful view of Mount Fuji and lake kawaguchiko, the room was also beautiful and would definitely stay again!

United StatesSome things are hard to figure out if you don’t know Japanese (like the temp control system) but there are people who speak English and they are anxious to help.
The room was very nice and spacious with little touches like a holographic fireplace. The view of Mt Fuji from our balcony was amazing! The meals were delicious and the location was very close to the autumn festival.
