How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Staff here speaks fluent English which made us felt much more settled as this is our first stop in Japan on a 2 weeks trip. They helped us ships luggages to the next hotel.

slightly away from trainstation with some walking

There was an odd smell in the room which lingered even after cleaning
Great location, walking distance to main shopping areas, food and just moments from Dotonburi. Multiple stations easily accessed making transport very simple and convenient

The sumo theme was a nice touch. Games in the lobby was fun. The laundry facilities were great. Suggestions for breakfast locations was helpful. The staff were great. They completed all the paperwork for our luggage transfer to Tokyo.

Only thing to note here is that when we arrived we had issues with using the Netflix on the projector, but the staff came to help and gave us a new TV so it all worked out in the end.
Everything was great about this property - an amazing location close to Osaka Namba station walking distance to Dotonburi and in a great part of town with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Staff we great.

The fact there was no breakfast or in house dining but that is the whole point of apartment style accommodation.
First time staying in a hotel/apartment style place and it was a good experience. The location was amazing, walking distance to dotonbori street, shopping, restaurants and train station/subways.

It was a lovely stay in this specific hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice design in the lobby. We find the beds comfy. Definitely will consider booking again with Mimaru Hotels as we had a good experience.

Spacious room. Big enough a family of 5 (3 adults and 2 kids). Staff spoke English and were very helpful. The hotel was able to sort the luggage delivery service for us. 10 minute walk to Dotonburi. Very close to the station. Shops accessible on the same road including Family Mart/7 Eleven.

Room is very spacious with various appliances to cater to needs. There is a good sized dining table to enjoy takeout foods. Location is good as it is quite close to metro station and various eateries and convenience store nearby. Dotonbori and Amerika-mura is within walking distance. There is very affordable coin operated laundry service with dryer on premise as well as drinks vending machine with hot and cold drinks for quick drink.

Suggest a gyoza/sandwich etc frozen food vending machine. Since there are microwaves in the apartments. Can heat up for supper/breakfast.
The apartment hotel was very clean and new and pretty much sound proof. Microwave, big fridge, humidifier, stove, cups, bowls, plates and utensils all catered. Change of towels everyday and cleaning provided. Front desk were all helpful and friendly. Free board games for hire. Location is near to Shinsaibashi and Dontobori- within 10 mins walk. A bit further from Namba Station (15 mins walk with luggage, flat pavements n roads n unsheltered). Note to/fro train/limousine to Kansai Airport to cater extra time.

The bed was extremely hard so if you like a softer bed it's not very comfortable.

The hotel is located further away from Namba and the action in Shinsaibashi. A little extra walk, so consider that if you have young children.
Breakfast can be purchased from locatio convenience stores. Family mart and Lawsons are right around the corner. Kids loved the lobby activities and the rooms were spacious and beds comfortable.
