The futon mattress is a bit thin by our standards

Very nice and helpful personnel, great location, very tasty kaiseki dinner and Japanese breakfast including clam (which is a local specialty). The hotel has a pretty interior garden (and small souvenir shop). The room was spacious and comfortable.

We stayed as a family of four in a combination of western and japanese style room for one night and had the traditional japanese dinner and breakfast. The kids weren't keen on the japanese style dinner and breakfast, however that was my fault for not ordering the kids meal options. As adults, we found the food to be delicious and very well presented. The room was spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were amazing....they were very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend the Miyajima Grand Hotel.

Miyajima grand hotel is a great place to stay on the island. It is a short distance to the ferry terminal and close to the markets and gondola. We chose the package with half board. The dinner and breakfast was an amazing experience, with many courses. The onsen was a great way to end the day too. Recommend taking time to stay on the island at the Grand Hotel.

The service is outstanding. One member of our family was feeling ill. The hotel arranges for the restaurant to bring her food to the room to make sure she is well taken care of. This is the extra care that I will always remember about this place and will become a life customer.

Wow! We thought this hotel would be pretty good, but this was amazing. We were met at the ferry for a shuttle to the hotel. At the hotel the staff were all wonderful. They explained the room (Japanese style) the dinner and breakfast situation, the onsen, the neighborhood. We took the tram up Mt. Misen one day and hiked down. So much fun. The dinners were amazing and delicious and the breakfasts outstanding. We enjoyed the onsen in the mornings and at night. We sure hope to be back.

Absolutely nothing.

The hotel was well placed close to everything from famous sights and local cafes/ restaurants. The ambience was so relaxing and peaceful. The staff were absolutely amazing. Attentive and ever so helpful. Would recommend to have your room facing the garden to be able to listen to the trickling water from the pond below. My teenage kids enjoyed it as much as my husband and I. The dinners and breakfasts were not only well presented, it was as delicious as it looked.

Public bath complete with all amenities & they have massage chair inside Hotel arranged pick up to/from ferry terminal though hotel is accessible by foot Free guided morning and night walk in Japanese (hope they will have english speaking guided walk soon) Will come back for sure

The included 12 course set dinner was superb quality of the best ingredients. We stayed in a traditional Japanese room for a unique experience. Food, service, attention to detail was quality on another level. Pick up/ drop off service from the ferry was a bonus. The surrounding temples, shrine, torii gate and Mt Misen are all beautiful distraction to see whilst on the island, without worrying about catching a ferry ride home on a day trip.

We loved our traditional experience - the futons were really comfortable. Dinner was a fantastic experience and they were really kind by giving us a gift for our honeymoon! We also loved the onsen and the location.

The hotel is located in a nice area - close to Momijidani Park and only 15 mins on foot from the ferry terminal. The staff were very helpful and the room was well equipped

The location was great. It was easy to find. They sent a shuttle to the ferry station and collected our luggage so we could head right out sightseeing. It was in our room when we checked in. The staff was over the top hospitable. If you ask you can get vegetarian meals.

Nothing bad to say, everything was perfect.

The staff were amazing and very attentive. They kept our bags whilst we went and explored and upon return we were showed to our room and had everything explained to us in English. Our meal was amazing, some of the best food I have ever eaten, we opted for the Hiroshima Beef menu, which was at an additional cost but absolutely worth it! The garden was beautiful, I honestly didn’t want to leave. Overall our experience was 10 out of 10. Well worth staying here and would stay again.

Stayed in a smaller room with a double bed but the room was nicely laid out. The room was very clean, comfortable bed, and had a private bathroom. There was even a little welcome snack in the room, too. Great location, only a short walk from the main street/attractions. Made catching sunrise at the tori very easy in the morning. The public bath/spa was clean and big with three different baths to use. All amenities needed were provided. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I arrived before checkin time, and the staff kept my luggage for me. When I arrived for checkin later on, they had already placed my luggage in the room.
