Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

JapanThere's only one elevator so there are times when the wait is quite long. Also our fridge had a strange smell, which most likely from smelly food from previous guest. Staff responded promptly when I asked.
The room is clean. Amenities are also provided. Overall satisfied with our stay.

MacaoOnly one elevator for 12 levels. So you often have to wait long and then it's crowded.
Location is nice. Subway station with Yamanote line and others is very close. You can get quickly around Tokyo or directly to Shinjuku. Beds are comfortable, pillows too. Free coffee in the lobby. With CNN even one non Japanese channel. One station had the option to switch to English for a movie.

Location was great, only about a 5-7 minute walk to the train station. Room was a decent size for a Japanese hotel. Size was on par with the other hotel we stayed at in Tokyo. Staff was friendly.

AustraliaWe were able to book a double room for two adults and a child so I expected there would be a fold up bed or futon for our child. Actually we all just had to sleep in a double bed together. It was pretty squishy. I did just assume but they shouldn't let you book three people in a room if there is no provision at all for the third person. Some rooms have a sofa to sleep on for example.
