Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

JapanMy room door was a bit hard to open as the handle wasn't working well but it did not bother me to much, as it was just a bit difficult. I am just putting it here to let them know ;) and didn't know what else to mention.
I felt very welcome, as everyone was super friendly. The owner even brought me to the lift and made sure my stay and plans back home would be without issues. The place looked and smelled clean. I was more than happy to see a nice thick blanket on the bed. Breakfast was plenty and tasty. I can definerly recommend the place.

United StatesBath was only one person at a time since open to both genders. Guess this was a bit of a bonus for couples that can share & save space in the other communal shower space.
Clean friendly space, loved the well-selected jazz music always playing in the common room where hot tea and conversation was always available. Shuttle to the resort in the AM, then return via dot-Base + small walk was super convenient for skiing.

United StatesGreat location, close to slopes and downtown area. Incredibly cozy, felt like something out of a dream. I couldn’t believe how nice it was inside! Truly felt like a home. The breakfast spread was amazing, staff was friendly and very accommodating, rooms were large, and whole place was well heated (this was great as it was FREEZING in niseko at the time). At the price point offered I don’t think this place can be beat and is likely a better place to stay than alternatives that cost 3-4x as much. I will definitely stay here again if I can!

AustraliaThere was lots of random little beetles and bugs near the heater, they were probably attracted to the heat as it was bloody cold outside. Lol.
Great winter lodging right in the middle of Hirafu village. Close to main bus stop, restaurants and convenience stores. Its also around a 20-30 minute walk uphill to the main Hirafu gondola/dot base building where you can get lift tickets and ski-hire. The owner also provides free shuttle bus to the slopes every day in the morning. Room was extremely spacious for only two of us, heater was very warm and toasty.

Japannothing specific to the pension. however it is on a sloped road and the road is usually not cleared of ice/snow completely as it is a side road, so it can be a little slippery , making it difficult if you are carrying gear. make use of Toshi-san’s offer of driving you to the resort in the morning!
very comfy, clean, and has all the necessary amenities to make your stay comfortable. additionally, Toshi-san is a great host who speaks a little english and would help you any way possible!
