The recommended breakfast restaurants require reservations, and that didn't suit our rash intermarry.

The front desk is patient and helpful. They help us call the taxi to train station when my friend is sick. And the attitude is great.

The hostel had a perfect location to do all the sightseeing things and was in between many good restaurants and cafes. The facilities were amazing and very clean. Would definitely go again.

We really enjoyed our stay a Piece Hostel Sanjo. The hostel is located in a great neighbourhood which is quiet and also very lively with pubs, restaurants and shops. You can reach Nikishi market in a few minutes walking time. The community kitchen is very well equipped and was clean anytime we used it. The hostel even provides free umbrellas when it rains. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Honestly, I can't recall anything I didn't like. It was great value and perfect for our stay in Kyoto.

Great location as it's close to Nishiki market and feels very very safe. Cute neighborhood and convenient. Staff was happy to hold our luggage early. They warned us that the room was small (we got a triple with private bathroom) but we were pleasantly surprised with how much room we had! The shared spaces are beautiful and maintained well. One of the staff even performed with their jazz combo in the downstairs lounge/bar area. Definitely recommend!

You can do your laundry but it washes only 20 minutes and it washes cold. So maybe better to go to a coin laundry. But that was the only thing I could think of. Everything's perfect.

I didn’t like that all the bathrooms were on the bottom floor but at least I never had to queue to use one.

The rooms had lots of space and the hostel beds were comfortable with some shelving for key items and a curtain for privacy. There were also small safety deposit boxes to lock away valuables. There were seperate showers and toilets for females if needed.

Just AWESOME, from head to toe. Great staff, great spaces, lovely atmosphere. Sanitary services were awesome too. All services and common spaces are well-thought. The position is also awesome, not noisy yet, when you get around the corner is full of little restaurants and nice shops. I'm looking forward for my next stay here!

First of all, it’s in a nice quiet location, but a short walk to the main central parts of Kyoto. The staff were friendly and helpful, booking us early morning taxis to take us to sights. Check in and out was easy. The amenities are good, we used the washer and dryer there which were cheap and simple to use. We even got to borrow a shoe-drying machine which was VERY useful one day after we got caught in rain. We had a private double room and that itself was nice, clean and had the amenities we needed.

Everything was simple but stylish and clean and felt very new. Our room was nice and quiet. The communal areas were well equipped and the location was good for eating and drinking.

Woken up by the same people packing and talking to each other from 9-11pm and again 4:30am. Not something the hostel can do about, but reminder that you’ll be sharing with other people.

Comfy and spacious beds. Space for suitcases under the bed or by the lockers. Each bed also has 3 hooks for hanging, usb socket, two-pring socket, and overhead light. Two shelves inside the bed area and a curtain for privacy. Many amenities (including a bar and paid washer dryer), but I didn’t have the chance to use them all. Showers were great; they have two women only showers and two showers for everyone. I was able to leave my luggage’s until 9pm after checkout.

The location is good and central, close to the Nishiki Market and a seven eleven is close by. The administration is forward-coming and easily approachable. There is a bar in the basement, which looked lively, although not personally tested.

The rooms were small but had everything you needed. The bed was firm but fine overall. Great lounge and decor in the multi-purpose rooms, Mac computers, reading material, great little bar in the lounge area. Did laundry easily. Overall it was fantastic for the price and so close to the market.
