Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JapanI was disappointed by the unreasonable extra charges for adjusting the number of guests in the booked twin rooms. The additional costs exceeded the expected fee for one additional breakfast per room by almost double.
I appreciated the good value and cost-efficiency of the stay. The hotel's location was excellent, and the facilities were nice and well-maintained.

SingaporeMy room is right next to the road highway/train track ^^" so you can hear trains until 12+, then cars all the way one in awhile thru the night. Loud but bearable (subjective), i am ok with the traffic because i take a while to sleep, then i am gone. maybe i just got unlucky and other rooms are better i cannot confirm. But they do give ear plugs to help with this, but their ear plugs do not really help. Curtains are also NOT black out, so i got up at 5.30 every morning due to the sun haha, but easy issue to fix by wearing your own eye covering mask. also not a big issue to me. However, my room toilet has a weird smell, it's not the typical Japan sewage smell, but there is a funky smell that will not go away no matter mow much perfume/freshener i spray. i suspect it is from the shower curtain but although funky still tolerable so not the worse thing in the world.
The hotel itself is clean, they don't do daily full cleaning, just empty your trash/replace towels. Full cleaning only every 3 days, I don't really mind it. i am appreciative of the cleaning for the "budget" of the hotel. Location wise it is a 7-ish mins walk daily to the nearest metro station, about 10 mins to the metro's station lift entrance so not too bad. about a 15-20mins walk to the nearest city station, Namba, i walked about 15mins every night to the nearest arcade that opens till midnight. and Namba is near Dotonbori, so if you are into bars/clubbing life at dotonbori and miss your last train, you technically still walk back, although it might be a very long walk. Nearby the hotel has many food, many convenience store, with one convenience store right beside the hotel. Felt safe as a solo female traveler. Room wise, i find it perfect for 2 person, in fact rather spacious in the context of Japan traveling accommodation. Their room also feels bigger than another hotel that i stayed in Osaka before this (that is more expensive). Everything working fine, very clean. Staff are friendly, they have auto translator machines that translate what they are saying to you. I overheard them trying to give travel tips to two ladies who were asking for the method to get to the airport with their 3 luggage. A trainee staff also assisted with my check in and baggage delivery and she was very nice. I did not go for breakfast so nothing to say about that.

Hong KongSome Rooms are near by the rail tracks, it will have noise.
Very close to the Kizu Ichiba, just 1 mins walking distance. Can easy to try the fresh Sushi, Sashmi and Fruit in the early morning because the market will close on 11am. Just 5 mins walk to Imamiyaebisu Station then take 1 station to Namba or Shin'imamiya Station to get the Nankai Express train to airport in 30mins

AustraliaNext to a rail line and a flyover road. Try and get the room away from these. Noise takes a little getting used to, bad sign if the hotel is providing free ear plugs. The Bathroom height will be troublesome for anybody over 6 feet as it is raised floor. That said not a bad deal for the price. Also remember trains stop at about midnight, so if you are just using this as a sleeping joint then it is ok.
Clean, new property, convenience store next door. 650 meters to the nearest Daikokuchō Station. Beds were comfy and the room was exceptionally clean.

PortugalThe room lacks space for bags. Even though it was the biggest one I had during my stay in Japan, the storage space was quite limited. The train line and highway nearby are terrible. It is necessary for the owner to replace frames and windows so as not to feel all the noise and vibrations. Lots of noise and noise. Between 00:00 and 6:00 there are no trains, reducing the deck, but other than that, it is impossible to rest peacefully.
It's called Namba but it's almost 1 km from Namba station. Still, it's a good walk to the station. In this case, I suggest using the Metro, Daikokucho Station, to travel to points of interest in Osaka. Room is ok and clean. Amenities are available daily at the entrance to the elevators.

AustraliaRooms are very small but is good enough if you are looking for a budget place to crash after exploring throughout the day. Our room was infront of the station so can hear train noises so it was bit annoying at times to sleep.
It was conveniently located 400m walk from subway station exit and close to Namba station as well. Good place to relax after a tiring day exploring the streets of Osaka. Good enough option if you are looking for a budget option to stay in Osaka.

SingaporeRoom space.
Everything is wonderful, room facilities are well thought of. Laundry available at lobby annex. There is a superb supermarket just next building, like wholesale concept. Every morning, there will be tourists eating sashimi/ seafood outside the area, bought from the supermarket.

BelgiumAs an overall advice, if you're sharing bedrooms in Japan, consider reducing the size of your luggage. The bedroom is quite small (but this seems to be the standard in Japan), and it can be difficult to find space to open more than one luggage at the same time.
Very clean, easy check-in and check-out, luggage storage, different metro stations a few blocks away, café and small shop nearby.

United Statesnothing...all good
very clean, staff helpful and pleasant, very efficient, good location close to numerous places to eat, shop, and hop on trains or local buses. Hotel also provided tea, coffee, travel needs like toothbrushes, and bottled water every day. And, if you arrive early, or check out but wish to explore the city, they will hold your bags for you...very helpful!

Hong KongIt is a bit far from the Namba station. Has to walk for 15 to 20 minutes from Namba (Nankai line) to the hotel.
The hotel room is a bit small ( 16 sq m), this may be the norm in a busy city like Osaka. It provides high value for money. The rooms are clean and it provides nearly all amenities needed. There are also free coffee and tea.

AustraliaOnly one pillow per bed, and very soft, so I had to use my neck pillow to provide adequate support for my head as I slept Little bit rattly on the windows as trains would pass, but it was easy enough to sleep through Bathroom ceiling is much lower than the rest of the room, so for someone my height I kept accidentally hitting the ceiling when having a shower or getting changed
Great location near Namba, easy access from the nankai airport line and easy access to multiple train lines to explore the city Lots of good restaraunts nearby, and they provide umbrella rental when it is raining
