There is only an attendant on duty from 9 am to 6 pm which meant we had to use the self serve codes most of the time but this was expected and doable.

This property was so lovely and quiet. I was initially concerned with the size as the common area is quite small but the separate beds for everyone are sizable and have storage to keep out your necessary items so you don’t have to keep opening bags. Our kids LOVED the bunk beds. The property was very clean and quiet. We felt like we were the only ones here most of the time.

Not far from the metro station and it's a more local area , which is calm. There's even a simple coffee shop nearby (local) for breakfast I also enjoyed that the staff was helpful and took some time to recommend places to go.

The surrounding area was very limited in terms of restaurants and stores but many were within walking distance. The ryokan itself was awesome and would definitely love to stay again whenever I’m in Osaka.

The area was nice and quiet, the rooms were great with ample amount of amenities. Beds were very comfy and rooms were nicely ventilated. Bathrooms were clean and well equipped with various bath amenities.

Amazing stuff. Beautiful cozy place. Rooms were small but efficiently designed to make the most out of every sqcm. While located a bit away from any point of interest, quite a few stations around can bring you anywhere within Osaka ASAP

Central location. Close to trains incl express train from Kansai airport. Great food options nearby plus local supermarket and small retailers. Helpful staff. Very clean. Modern but still authentically Japanese. Eating area with microwave and tea/coffee gives you a place to sit if you are buying food to eat in.

It is difficult to connect with the staff via telephone, no one answers the phone , however very easily connected via email .

Good location next to subway just a few stops from Osaka main station - Namba station . The neighborhood is quiet , very safe , and you can experience regular people go about their life’s in a daily basis. There is a big supermarket just around the corner , convenient store and some restaurants as well. Staff were wonderful, eager to help in anything we needed .

There isn't a ton of extra space for laying out your luggage and the bathroom itself is a little small.

The location was nice, close to a few train stations. Staff was excellent!!! They were friendly, answered all our questions, stored our luggage for us, brought it up to our room once the room was ready as we were out seeing the sights, and also brought it back downstairs at checkout. Loved the privacy curtain by the bathroom area, beds were wonderful - comfortable and had curtains for privacy, like having your own space. Room had a sitting area and fridge for our waters and snacks. Showers had wonderful water pressure and products supplied (Shampoo / Conditioner / Body Wash) were great and smelled great too!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ryokan Suzuran; it exceeded my expectations in every aspect. From the moment we booked, the hotel provided exceptional service, sending us all the necessary information a week prior to our check-in date. Arriving after 6pm, we opted for self-check-in, which was remarkably smooth thanks to the clear instructions provided. The staff at Ryokan Suzuran were incredibly helpful throughout our stay, always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. The atmosphere of the hotel was welcoming and serene, making it a delightful retreat for both myself and my children. I must admit, we initially encountered a slight hiccup with the Wi-Fi during check-in. While we connected to the lobby Wi-Fi, we forgot to switch to the room Wi-Fi, resulting in slower internet speeds. However, once we rectified this oversight, the room Wi-Fi proved to be excellent, offering fast and reliable connectivity. Additionally, the inclusion of an Apple TV device in each room was a fantastic touch that added to our enjoyment. Overall, our experience at Ryokan Suzuran was nothing short of exceptional. From the attentive staff to the modern amenities, everything contributed to a truly memorable stay. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a comfortable and enjoyable accommodation experience.

I was very worried for I was left alone since my sister went back to Canada. So I was alone and I realize the premises had no elevators so I panicked. I messaged the facility staff and told them. At first I didn’t want to stay because my suitcase was such a huge inconvenience. But the staff helped me with bringing my suitcase up. They were so kind and nice! They offered to help me afterwards as well. I felt like I would do ok going back down compared to going up. But they were so great. So hospitable. My room was cleaned after I had food poisoning. Completely. I felt horrible but I did my best in cleaning up after myself. I am very happy with the room it was adorable, too big for myself but, it’s ok I used up the space. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality. Would definitely stay again!
