The best place you could choose to stay in. Great location, few minutes from Yamanote line and you could get everywhere in Tokyo with it. The ryokan itself is like a little jewelry among the new modern buildings. It is very cozy, extremely clean. Definately would recommend

No cooking facilities, even just a microwave.

Great location, especially for Sakura viewing. Supermarket and family market are nearby and also a cute cafe (Saison bakery). Great to have your own spacious room. Super clean. Staff are so so friendly and helpful. Best part is it's near the river and not in the crazy of skinjuku or shibuya, but they're still easy to access on the yamamote line!

The workers there are incredibly kind and helpful. The room was lovely. It’s right next to Meguro river to see cherry blossoms. Would love to stay here again. :)

Shared bathrooms and toilets make it a little less private but it didn't bother me during my stay.

Great little Ryokan that's really close to Gotanda Station making travel easy to do. Owner was nice and explained the facilities properly on where and how to use.

I felt I may have disturbed the other guests if I was up too early due to the proximity of the rooms.

Quiet location right across from a Family Mart convenience store. Clean bathing facilities fully stocked with toiletries. Not far from the Gotanda station, about a 7-8 minute walk. Kosugi-san was extremely patient with my meagre spoken Japanese skills and extremely friendly. 3 public toilets with all the bells and whistles, marked clearly with signs for foreign guests. Check in and out was simple.

Gotanda was a surprise packet of a location. It's a very nice neighborhood and the hotel is very close to the JR station (on the Yamanote line), shopping and a great supermarket. The hotel was immaculately clean and the staff very friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and spacious. I don't mind shared bathroom facilities. In fact I hardly bumped into other guests at all. These kind of old buildings have so much more charm than the new cookie cutter hotels.

Comfortable and nice tatami room and public bath! Yukata and bedding provided were comfy. It would also appear they've taken previous feedback about noise into consideration, adding a soundproofing layer to the window and greatly reducing the noise (I'm very sensitive to noise and slept through it just fine). Location is great, well-connected to the popular areas, situated right next to a family mart and beautiful river walk. Friendly staffs, easy check-in and check-out processes, very relaxing.

Feels a bit off the beaten path in a quieter part of Tokyo, though close enough to a station to have choice of Izakaya, with more restaurants a short walk over the river. Room was small but comfortable with (legless) chair and mini-fridge - good for the konbini you just bought at Lawson over the road.

Everything! The staffs were helpful and nice all the time. The room is clean every day. The location is near to Gotanda train station and near marts. It's also a quite neighbourhood which is great for a good night sleep especially when you have kid. We would definitely stay here again if we're back in Tokyo.
