The decor is very dated and when you enter the rooms, there is a slight old musky smell which probably suits the decor. They did supply air freshener in the room.

I choose it because cheap, didn’t expect high quality. Room size not big and not luxurious amenities. It’s ok. But room is smelly. Like old carpets. Lobby and aisle has no smell, maybe just my room’s problem? Not sure. So I wanted stay with opening window but my room was first floor and it doesn’t have any screens or window guards.

Cheap and good location. Not far from station, cost-effectiveness. There is no restaurant open at early morning, so I had to use their breakfast, 550yen for person, good for that price.

Quite near to train station and a big supermarket is nearby, very accessible love the complimentary rice or udon with curry. The reception staff that attended to me is very very very helpful and polite, thank you, sorry i forgot her name but i pen it in the other survey. I tried the japanese style room (1night) and western style (1 night), both very pleasant and clean. The only thing is the Onsen is only for male….hope you’ll can factor for female in future when more females travel.

Some of the facilities seem a bit old-ish, maybe... Also frankly, the stay is not cheap (while the room was big I would welcome something more compact for a lower price).

There was a bad smell in the corridor.

Basic rooms with all the essentials you need including pyjamas, toiletries and even complimentary dinner (curry and rice). Staff were helpful and there is a microwave and vending machines. Close to supermarkets and the train station.

Quite uncomfortable futons. Smell was, although not dirty, strange, maybe because of tatami mats straw. Bathing artifacts worked OK, but looked old and unmantained, with some rust. Public bath (currently only available for men) is OK.

We needed a base to go climbing Mount Fuji, so it fulfilled our needs. Close enough to gotemba station, and good disposition to store baggage while doing the climb. Good breakfast service. Useful as b&b for short stays.

The building is very old and smells damp.

Rooms were big and had comfy beds. Free curry rice and curry udon in the evenings and a simple, but very reasonably-priced breakfast buffet. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good location for Gotenba station, tourist info and climbing Fuji.

The room was not soundproof. We could hear when people were talking on the hallway. Also, the bathroom door could not be completly open without hitting the room door. That was a bit annoying.

I've booked Select Inn Fujisan for one night stay after Fujikawaguchiko excursion before hopping to Hakone the next day. The inn is good and adequate to my taste and I can't comment more since the price is very affordable. There's free wifi and the line is quite good. I booked two rooms for my family of 5, but the rooms are not in the same level. I got the room on 7th floor. I woke up the next day at 5.00 AM, opened the window, and was taken aback by the majestic view of Mt Fuji. It was magnificent and truly beautiful.

5 minutes walking from Gotemba Station. Our room had a stunning view to Mount Fuji. In the evening, they serve a delicious free curry in restaurant.
