The room was notably small with a narrow double bed, and the Wi-Fi was very slow, almost to the point of being unusable.

The hotel is nice, offering good value with various amenities and clean rooms in a prime Shinjuku location.

They don’t offer any upgrades complimentary and the shower gels are in small packages, nothing much in them. Pillows not comfortable but otherwise all good and will stay here again!

Good location, clean hotel with all you need however the room was rather small but I booked a small room. They have larger rooms! Blacked out curtains I loved so daylight getting in!

Our room was rather old and not the best quality. The hotel is the middle of a very busy nightlife area, the surrounding streets are quite dodgy.

Location was close to public transportation and to the busy Shinjuku area

There are some minor issues that I list below, but the real problem for me is the value for money in this hotel. It is not a rip-off in any shape or form, but I does not compare favourably with other four star establishments in the neighbourhood. The local folk seem to know that. In fact, in my over 25 years in Japan this is the hotel that had a highest proportion of foreigners making the clientèle that I have ever seen. There were basically no Japanese businessmen on weekdays and no Japanese families with small children on weekend trip, which is very unusual for this sort of hotel. The latter may be partly attributed to the hotel's location on the outskirts of the notorious Kabukicho night-life district. Overall, the quality of service does not compensate the price. Regular (so called "Economy") rooms are rather small and have very little storage areas that do not contain any clever solutions, just a very small closet and three hangers by the door. Having a larger suitcase for prolonged (one week) stay was a bit of an issue. Also, by designers choice almost half of the rooms have very small, low placed windows. This creates claustrophobic feeling, as rooms are already small and a bit crammed. The hotel is well maintained but starts to show some signs of wear. Occasional smudges on walls and stains on floor carpeting in restaurant does not improve perception.

It is a decent hotel, conveniently located and well run. Nothing about it really stands out in a particularly positive way, but it is a decent place. The breakfast buffet is very reasonable, quite varied and made of quality fresh ingredients. The staff is very competent, accommodating and helpful. The hotel, despite being fairly large, is quiet and relaxed.

The property is somewhat dated; small rooms; stained carpet in the room and in the hallway; shampoo, conditioner and body washing in difficult-to-open individual packs; weird lobby with inadequate seating

Some of the common areas are showing some wear and tear like hallways and lobby etc but didn’t distract from my stay at all.

Room was really clean and bed was sensational. Bathrooms have a bath and the rooftop terrace offers great views of Tokyo! Really enjoyed my stay here.

The room was a bit small. Room felt clean but not as clean. Maybe it just felt small.

It is in the heart of Shinjuku. It is close to Shinjuku Station, Shin Okubu Station, which run the Yamanote line. It really will take you to the best parts of Tokyo.

Rooms are pretty small for the price, but that's just Tokyo. Also the walls are pretty thin, so if your neighbors are noisy, you're gonna hear them.

Too much furniture for a small room, don't clutter with things that aren't needed especially when it's a small room. No need for a writing table and chair.
