Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsNice location and loved the easy check-out. Couldn’t hear my buddy neighbour so it’s sound proof as well. Very very close to Dotonbori and a Lawson is just downstairs. Would book again!

AustraliaEven with the pillow menu the pillows were very uncomfortable - but I found this true of most of the accomodation in Japan. If you're fussy with your pillows make sure you bring one from home. We had a lovely stay, and I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone going to Osaka.
The welcome was very impressive - staff were incredibly friendly and informative. There was a wall of different hardness pillow toppers - a pillow menu. Plus, I got to choose out of a range of sample complimentary toiletry products. The bed was lovely and comfortable and the location was brilliant. The welcome drink was a bit of a surprise - wine and spirits with mixers available for you to help yourself in paper cups. For breakfast there was a wide variety so you could sample different Japanese dishes. There was also bread, croissants and more Western options. The location was great, right next to all the action in the food streets.

AustraliaYes, there is only 1 lift, so trying to get down for breakfast at around 8.30am was a long wait as people were trying to also check out, and there was not a lot of room. We ended up going up, to come down.
Great little hotel in the hustle and bustle of Namba. Welcoming and helpful staff, Lawson right next door and great bonus of open free bar from 2-8pm with wine, spirits and soft drinks. There is also a beer vending machine and you are welcome to bring in outside food to eat, which was great at the end of a busy walking day around town. Close to Namba and Nippombashi train station and plenty of restaurants, shops, bars around. The rooms are small and the bathrooms smaller, but totally fine for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers- we had 2 double rooms. We had some luggage sent and stored from the ski fields with no issues and they were happy to store our bags before our evening flight. Breakfast was mostly Asian, but totally adequate.

AustraliaThe staff, the room, the breakfast and the location
The staff spoke very good English. The staff was very helpful. I was struggling to find the cheapest way to get to the airport the night before. One of the male staff struggled to any good advice yet he was very kind and nice. But there were some well spoken English lady that me. Room was very clean. They even had free alcohol form 2 to 8pm and free breakfast which Waa lovely food (if you go early). The alcohol selection wasn't as big as the super hotel in fuji but yet a very good selection for free alcohol.

United StatesThey ran out of pillows! On our first night we checked in late and all the pillows were already taken. Hotel staff offered us towels to roll up as a pillow. The second night we came back late and again, no pillows. Please have enough pillows so every guest can have one.
Great location! It was right across the street of Kuromon Ichiba Market. Lots of free hotel amenities, including free breakfast although we never made it down in time to try. Hotel provided a fresh set of towels, toothbrush and bottled water every day in exchange for not having to do daily cleaning. Lots of washers and dryers…hotel provided the laundry detergent - no charge.

MexicoThe smell of the room on arriving was odd, can't describe it but it went away as days passed by. Perhaps that's something the hotel can take a look at when rooms are cleaned.
Excellent location, very close to train stations, stores, restaurants, Nipponbashi (if you like videogames/anime) and Dotonbori. The room was bigger than i expected for a standard room size in Japan, it was very confortable. Staff was very friendly at all times. Breakfast was well diversified and changed daily.

AustraliaThere is an option with super hotel to pick your own pillow but it was always empty. With the double bed there was only one long pillow, definitely not enough for 2 people. The staff managed to find a pillow for us but it was one of those beaded ones. I liked it but it’s definitely not for everyone.
Complimentary breakfast was a great way to start each morning. Location is an easy walk from Namba station even with heavy suitcases and even closer from Nippombashi if you’re taking the subway.

United StatesThe beds are not very comfortable, especially the pillows.
The rooms are extremely small at this hotel, but the common space with an open bar from 2:00 - 8:00 pm and breakfast at the hotel made up for it, as there was space to chat and relax that was comfortable. The room is very compact, as is the bathroom. We tried many types of accommodation during a 3 week + trip to Japan and this was by far the smallest room we had. The location close to Dotonbori District and the Kuromon Market and the Namba train station to go to Osaka Castle and other parts of the city. The staff was extremely cordial and they even had a mechanical dog to greet us, which was very fun.

United StatesOur bed came with only one pillow and you have to grab extra pillow from the lobby, but we were out all day and they were always already all taken. There is only one elevator so you might have to wait a while. Stairs are open only 7-10am.
Breakfast was great - we skipped only one day because we had an early start to the day; otherwise, it was simple and satisfactory. Location is amazing, close to train station and set between Dotombori and Nipponbashi. Great value for the room.

United StatesI know the hotel cannot help it, however, the room is quite small. It takes some getting used to but it fit what we were looking for. Also, the hotel only has 1 elevator so it is a bit tedious to wait for it to get to you.
The breakfast buffet was amazing! We looked forward to breakfast every morning. There were lots of options. The staff were wonderful and so helpful. The cleanliness of the rooms were great! The location was so close to a train station, attractions, and convenience stores.
