Very minimalistic in terms of common areas. Lift is very old and dangerous as well, my partner almost got the door closed on her. Reception was not very obvious, but the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Windows on city side dont open and the glass is frostezd so it felt rather claustrophobic for me.

Location and rooms. Last time we stayed in the Riverview Suite which a great. This time i gad accidentally booked riveriew double instead of a twin. We were able to upgrade to the city ciew suite. I definitely recommend the riverview rooms rather than city side but the city suite was very comfortable I would certainly stay here again if i visited Osaka

The room was really hot and we couldn't work the Aircon because it was all in Japanese. Fan only worked if light was on. It was noisy (we were road side) but had ear plugs so didn't matter too much.

The hotel is a very cute boutique style place to stay. Check in was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Rooms are small but not tiny by Japan standards and had all you needed. Lovely touches with the nice toiletries etc. And it smelt delicious throughout! Great location to walk down to dontobori and cute places to eat along way which we preferred to dontobori area.

The staff were SO friendly and helpful, we got an amazing dinner recommendation from them and they went the extra mile for our honeymoon stay with a complimentary drink at their bar! The hotel has a very boutique-y feel and it felt like they had thought of everything to make the stay as fabulous as possible. I really loved our room - super spacious with a great view of the river.

Beautiful small hotel in a great location. Lovely spacious room, comfy bed and great bathroom. But the best thing about the hotel is the staff. They are incredible. Went out of their way to help us at every opportunity. Cannot fault the hotel or certainly not the staff in any way. If I could give a score of 100/10 I would!

Nothing really but I would have preferred for all of the toiletries to be provided in the room, or available to take at reception, rather than requested at reception.

The staff at the Boly were fantastic, they went out of their way to be helpful and were always available. The best hotel staff we have experienced in Japan! The hotel has lots of games you can borrow, drinks to buy for the rooftop and is in a nice location. The room was much larger than in the pictures.

Nothing. You can hear the subway underneath the hotel from your room. This didn’t bother us but if you’re a light sleeper then maybe not one for you. They do provide ear plugs. We didn’t need them and slept very well.

We were wishing to have food options inside the hotel that were free.

We enjoyed our stay with free microwave and washer/dryer and small coffee. The wifi was also free. The showers had bluetooth music, and the heat was amazing. Very close to the subway and a 30 min walk to Don Que (duty free store).

the hotel is a modern concept 'Aparthotel' - in fact, a group of apartments with some common amenities and limited service provided (cleaning, a washing machine, the terrace). Typically for such venues, it was built recently and designed to be attractive on a photos (though it IS designed nice). But also typically, the materials used for such design are not the top-notch and as a result they get worn out relatively quickly. This place is not yet there, but it's moving towards this state. Please also mind that all photos of the place are 'retouched' with some filters to look a bit more 'live' and vivid, than in reality. Apart from that, as a hotel, it lacks some overlooking by the top management with experienced eye, the hotel owners don't' look for making your stay perfect, but just 'enough good' so that you don't have clear complaints. Within this concept (having 'enough good' stay) it's a great place. Though in such consideration it's not worth 4 stars and the price they were charging me. So, summing up my complaints (which are all minor!) it should be 'value for money' which didn't hit my expectations.

this was a studio in a typical model 'Aparthotel' with a smart design, non-typical for this location: a nice combination of traditional Japanese minimalism with elements of modern 'loft'. The room happened to be smaller in reality than was looking on a photos (i booked a large room with a terrace, so it was not a result of my greediness together with excessive expectations) but enough spacious and with all good amenities. The location was a bit off typical touristic areas, but really great, on a river bank (and the balcony was facing the river, which was amazing) the staff was great and tried to be helpful (aside from some minor issues with English for some of them, though typical for Japan). overall, it was a great stay.

Staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and clean. Location is perfect (short walk to 2 metro stations) and lot of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Highly recommend!
