The location is a bit off the beaten path, but it’s still close to metro stations and walkable in either direction (north or south) to busier areas with restaurants and more. The room was small (we expected this) but space optimized well.

Great little spot, exceptionally clean with excellent staff.

Our room lacked a window, preventing fresh air circulation, which was a downside. Additionally, the location is surrounded by car garages and not such nice streets. It is of course fully safe like everywhere in Japan and as a bonus it's still relatively walkable to the vibrant Dotonburi area. Nothing to dislike, we really enjoyed our stay but just to be aware of these factors.

This hotel offers a serene Buddhist atmosphere, complemented by a delightful breakfast and exceptionally friendly staff. It was a wonderful experience overall.

Amazing zen hotel - lovely experience

The ensuite bathroom had a steep step into it from the bedroom which was a bit hazardous during the night if we required the toilet. I was concerned that we would forget about the step and trip over.

The hotel was a so zen and the staff were incredibly helpful. It was in a quiet area so required walking but worth it. We did the kanji copying in our room which was fun and we did the streamed meditation which was also good.

Slightly far from the station. Which was a like inconvenient for a 1 night stay with heavy luggage.

Breakfast was a nice touch esp as it was vegan.

As much as we love Japanese food, we are not yet eaters of Japanese food at breakfast, so it would have been nice to have some cereal or toast/bread and butter/jam on offer.

This is an oasis of calm in a busy city! The lobby was very welcoming with nice lighting and a lovely smell of incense. It is a Buddhist hotel, afterall! The rooms are very well thought out and comfortable with nice slippers and bathroom vanity sets and water. The beds were very comfortable with good quality sheets. We were just a subway stop away from DenDen Town and Dotonpori etc so although a trek from Shin-Osaka station, conveniently located for some of the central areas. The location of the hotel is a little strange as it's on a road full of car dealerships and garages! It was an 8 minute walk to two subway stations.

Very nice quiet street right next to busy Shinjuku. Easy to find, subway line right around corner. Very narrow as it is in Tokyo and you have to be ready to sleeping on second floor loft, not for everyone. Felt like in true urban Japan because of atmosphere, the neighborhood

Staff were friendly and spoke good English. Were able to get me check-in quickly and mentioned the services they had coming to the hotel that night. I did not partake, but it is an interesting feature to have Buddhist services there. The vending machines in the building and surrounding area were interesting to see.

Unfortunately, the rooms are not very soundproof as the walls are very thin, and you can hear everything is going on in the hallway. During the first night, there were people going up and down the elevator until 4am so I could barely sleep. This is kind of related to people’s manners so not really the hotel’s fault but some layers of isolation within the room could also improve the situation.

The hotel is really nice and the staff was very polite, helpful and friendly. The room was clean and quite big compared to the Japanese standard. I liked the breakfast (healthy, which was nice considering that I had quite a lot of okonomiyaki and takoyaki during my stay!) The hotel is positioned close to the Shinsekai area (so a bit far from Dotonbori), the area is quiet. The hotel does not have laundry facilities but there is a coin laundry in a 3 minutes walking distance.

The property is beautiful and the staff are lovely. The room was small but very comfortable with nice amenities. I like that they burn incense throughout the hotel so it has a welcoming homely smell. Breakfast was also really nice. It’s a great location to visit local temples.
