“Really lovely couple running a brand new riad- quiet location close enough to visit Essaouria but far enpugh away from the chaos. Beautiful grounds, would visit again.”
“A really beautiful Riad, wonderfully furnished / decorated in the heart of the medina. Our family room was itself relatively small, but right outside is a lovely sofa and seating area in the light airy heart of the Riad, and the private bathroom a few metres away was large, beautiful and well equipped, so we had plenty of space.
Fatima was a great host checking we had everything we needed, and the breakfasts were excellent with fruit, omelette and freshly home-baked pastries, pancakes, etc. Roof space with seating / loungers, etc. was well protected from the wind (though note - no view to speak of). Good location, up a quiet alley between the shopping streets and the accessible city wall. Well away from the mosque, so finally I didn't get woken at 5 am! An easy walk to the main beach, or the fishing harbour, which is a must for seeing the amazing variety of fish on sale.
A wonderful end to our Moroccan holiday.”
“Dar Loulema is a lovely and beautiful riad with view on the sea on the rooftop. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and it looks exactly like on the pictures. Staff were nice and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and generous (it literally fed me for the day) and there is a nice terrace on the third and fourth floor to relax and sunbath.”
“Great location (center but quiet). The dead end street where it's located is a bit dirty because of the stray cats. But that's a common thing here in Marocco so no worries. Also, the location in google maps is not very precise though they tried : the street doesn't appear in maps, not their fault... Just ask the locals for direction if needed but if you look up there are signs ;-)
Staff is very friendly and accommodating (gluten free diet needed for breakfast,
: served us eggs in replacement for the bread), they recommended a simple, very good good and not expensive restaurant nearby.
The interior courtyard and rooftop of the hotel is nice (no panorama but still nice). There's also a shared living room with tv.
Our room was simple but nothing to complain, : not too small, and bathroom was more than okay compared to some others in Marocco (shower with seperation, not right by to the toilets).
Good value for money, would stay there again if in Essaouira.”
“The room exceeded expectations. Spacious and fresh with lovely nick nacks and a great bathroom. Warm welcome from friendly and knowledgeable staff. Delicious fresh breakfast. Great location.”
