“Perfect location out of the way of the tourist town. The host goes out of his way to ensure you enjoy your stay. There's a peaceful garden and private natural harbour. An hour's walk away is a beautiful waterfall that is great for swimming and is so far from tourists it is not even signposted. This is the most comfortable of the "bungalow" style accommodation that is common in Madagascar. A mini coral reef on the doorstep with free snorkeling and kayaking was especially good. This is one of the most peaceful spots you could find.”

“Lakana hotel is one of the best choice you can choose on Sainte-Marie island. Location is beautiful. You can reserve bungalow on the tilt or in the garden (I had). The beach is cleaned everyday. The food is mostly local with a lot of fruits and it is very delicious. Bungalows are cozy and clean. Madam Rova (manager) is simply fantastic. She solved all my troubles with a transfer back to the mainland. Thanks again to all Lakana team. The only bad think is that one day you must leave, but I’ll be back soon :-)
