Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryThe buffet breakfast was served by the staff, you cannot pick the food, they portioned it like in a school summer camp. Restaurant staff were rude, not really client friendly. Absolutely not 4* level. The furniture and style was old fashioned, needs a reconstruction.
Location, view from the room is amazing to Valletta and the port. All bus stops are nearby. Daily cleaning and nice housekeepers and receptionists. Our transfer was canceled accidentally but the reservation department helped us correctly.

PolandThe rest is so so- very poor breakfast and they seem like they stopped themselves in pandemic- buffet behind the plastic wall. Scrambled eggs made of powder. There is no electric kettle in the room. Chairs at the balcony dirty with dust. The hotel doesn’t want to give an invoice if the booking was done by booking.com
The best is the location.

United KingdomAs above - late cleaning of rooms. Eggs. The roof top bar was not open. Considering it was March, this is perhaps understandable, but there is a magnificient view from the balcony up there, even if it is too cold to use the pool.
The room was OK and the bed comfortable. The cleanliness was OK eventually, but often not done until late in the day, which was sometimes inconvenient. Breakfast OK, but not as good as it had been on my previous visits ( I have been several times now). Eggs scrambled only, unless a special request is made for fried, etc., and also scrambled eggs go cold too quicly when put on unwarmed plates.

United KingdomThe double room without view was dire - it was dark ( though spacious ) and looked out at the shaft of the hotel i.e. a concrete wall about 4 metres away with window opposite. Not worth the money. The air conditioning in the double with sea view did not work properly. We had to ask for a fan after the first night ( which they did bring ). The quality of the breakfast was poor. It looked inviting ( a full English ) but all the items were not good at all. The staff at the hotel did not have the basic knowledge of where the bus stopped to go to Valetta, or information about transport to Mdina etc.
The double room with seaview was lovely. The location was very good - near the shops and restaurants and ferry back to Valetta.

AustraliaThe bed was horrendous. So hard, thin and uncomfortable. The hotel room and the whole hotel need a refurb. The balcony door was so hard to open and it locked itself with me out on the balcony. The breakfast was the worst I have had. Served for you from behind the Perspex- the sausages were like rubber, the bacon like shoe leather and the scrambled eggs disgusting. Same every day. I skipped it. The pool area is run down and there is no view from the pool loungers.
The location was great. Close to Ponsonby bus stop and close to the ferry departures. It had a magnificent view from the balcony and from Level 7 where the pool is located. But cafe tables get the view not the pool loungers. 2 for 1 cocktails at happy hour 5-7pm.

SpainValue for money was not right. The prices are too high for not a good quality room.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not too good. Location was good. Rooms were clean, although dark, with really old decorations and broken furniture. Tv channels were only in Dutch or German.

AustriaRooms worn out and old. Hotel is rated with 4* though. Mattresses were hard and beds made a noise when one turned over. A few guests were drunk during happy hour at the roof top bar and started to harass other guests. Hotel staff did nothing.
Have stayed at the hotel many times. Lobby and roof top restaurant offer drinks and food all day and are worth a visit. Breakfast buffet very simple and warm food is served from behind plexiglass. Rooms have AC and a fan. Staff friendly but did have problems with understanding English. Good public connection.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaBreakfast had only pork options, no other types of meat, sausages and ham were pork, which was kind of discriminating because it is well known that there are people who do not eat pork due to religios reasons. Also the same breakfast every day.

SloveniaHotel rooms doesn’t have any soundproof isolation so you can hear everything from rooms next to your and from the hall. In description of room should be written that they have UK electric plugs. Overall, hotel and rooms need some updates as they are a bit old buy anyway for short stay you have everything what you need.
very nice and polite staff, willing to help. Hotel and rooms were very clean. They have typical continental breakfast with ham, scrambled eggs, sausages, fruit,… Position of hotel is very good, 2 bus stations are nearby, a lot of bars and restaurants around. on the top of hotel there is pool and beautiful view to city.

PolandThe room itself is of a low standard, it can be seen that it has not been renovated for many years, but with a charming view of the Marina from the balcony.
We were able to find accommodation in this hotel late after 10 pm as we had to leave the previous because the owner did not prepare a room for us, exposing us to danger. We reached the hotel Kennedy Nova on foot, walking 3 km along the Marina. It wasn't hard to find the hotel. We were warmly greeted by receptionist lady from Poland, who helped us a lot, facilitated the accommodation and gave tips on what we should visit and where to go. The room itself is of a low standard, it can be seen that it has not been renovated for many years, but with a charming view of the Marina from the balcony. Breakfast good buffet.

United KingdomThe room & hotel are very dated, in desperate need of modernisation. A sofa bed used as a main bed is not acceptable. No tea & coffee provided, although kettle etc is. A Very noisy hotel & this is in January. The full English breakfast buffet was basically cold every morning & the staff in the restaurant made no effort to make you feel welcome or converse in any form of conversation . Minimal bedding provided. Probably a 1 star hotel at best.
Great location.

SerbiaWe booked an apartment with a kitchen and breakfast, but we didn't get the one that was in the picture. Instead, we got an apartment with a kitchen that has a two-seater sofa, which had a mattress over it instead of a regular bed. The mattress folded in half when sleeping, so we woke up every morning with back pain. Also the blanket was very dirty.
The location, staff and breakfast are very good. The hotel is old, but has everything that you need..

DenmarkRoom not new but has what is required for a good stay. In the weekend a nearby pub/bar plays very loud music making it impossible to take a nap in the room with the terrace door open, but you could go to the rooftop pool area and nap there instead. WiFi connection not too good at my room with random drops of connection - I used the WiFi of the neighboring hotel instead and that worked out very well. In room Air-condition also not in the best working condition.
Great location, great staff and good burgers at the restaurant. Little kiosk right next door which sell the necessities like water, ice cream etc. Rooftop pool area with a great view and not too crowded. Room with harbor view benefit from a cool breeze during hot days.
