Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandHotel corridors weren’t great - not sure if there is a renovation planned but they felt unfinished and a bit scruffy.
Location is great - easy to reach the Gozo ferry, across the road from a lovely beach and some local shops etc in Mellieha Kids enjoyed the outdoor pools, but because the water is pretty cold still in March, it was also perfect to have the indoor pool to warm up in.

FranceCheck in and reservations were not well organized. I have asked for the rooms to be altogether when I booked, then by email again, and during check in and they were not even on the same floor. All inclusive plus amenities (listed in the description) were never brought up to the room, I asked reception, they said they would but never did. Staff knocked at the door despite the DND sign. Swimming pools not heated, freezing cold.
Very friendly staff and good housekeeping Very pretty outdoor area Food was amazing (Salia/Ponent/Levant)

IrelandLocation as the hotel is situated in the far north of the island , besides the beach there is not much else in the area. You can get a bus into Valletta which is a beautiful city but it takes around 1 and half hours . There is a huge selection of meals , they all look delicious but I found them very bland and not much taste.
Staff very friendly. Plenty of seating areas both inside and outside. Outside pools very spacious . Plenty of room in the restaurants.

United KingdomSadly, we had issues for two days of our stay. We had hired a car, as our main reason for this holiday was to do a lot of sightseeing. The hotel is building and fillings footings for a new extension . We had breakfast, went to our car and couldn't get out, as one way in and out. It was blocked by concrete mixer and pump. which completely ruined our day trip to gozo that day. It was there till just after midday. Leaving it to late to go there. The next day, we had the same issue, with a note this time put on car window screen, which noone would of seen untill they went to their car. It stated work would start at 8.30am and be finished by 10am. This was not the case, it finished at 2.30pm, leaving us frustrated, and yet again scuppering our plans. We were promised compensation by hotel, but on the day before we left, we were told to take the issue up with yourselves. I await your response to this issue. Sadly two days of ruined plans has made our holidays totally unfinished, with our planned visits undone. I await your response regarding this issue. Alison French

United KingdomNot 5he best sea view and the room itself looked very tired and in need of a refresh, The sink leaked and when reported no apology for the inconvenience of all our towels being wet and unable to take a shower. Air con didn’t really work and made too much noise to leave on over night. The daily drilling wasn’t great.
The all inclusive extra was worth the money but clearly quite new as most staff were unaware when we ordered drinks of the branded spirits we could have instead of the local ones. Both Mohan and Singh were exceptional members of staff who really looked after us the whole stay. Get idea about the fresh water station on each level which you could fill up a jug for water. Food was really good in all the restaurants.

United KingdomCanteen style small tables and chairs in restaurant , no table cloths ( but probably saving enviro) . Entertainment in evenings for adults started late and was short . Red wine was very bland on AI .
Location to beach and bus stop is great, as were the swimming pools . Food was ok, I was pleased that the cream on deserts was cream and not that cheap stuff . Lovely view of sea . Early breakfast offered for 6am departure.

United StatesIt was hard to get reservations to certain restaurants in the hotel and you couldn't visit a restaurant more than once during your stay. Shower pressure was pretty weak.
The pools were nice, clean, and big, you didn't feel like people were on top of you. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe evening entertainment/shows were a bit boring after seeing pretty much the same thing every night...more variety would be good, maybe a magician 🎩 or a band to mix things up a bit would be good. Although the room was spacious and spotlessly clean, the 1 thing we really didn't like was the poor quality of the bed. We were literally laying in the mattress rather then on it. For almost £1700 for a week , I would expect better....hence my lower score for comfort.
Amazing staff, from check in to bar, to restaurant and housekeeping !. Clean and spacious eventhough the hotel can hold over 1000 people at any time. Pool very big and always loungers available. Melodia from housekeeping was fantastic. Very thorough in her cleaning, always happy and smiling and chatty. She also gave us some useful tips about bus routes on the island. Variety and quality of food outstanding (I'm a chef myself). Animation team very good, speaking 4 languages , very interactive and focusing on every age and gender...a definite positive addition to the hotels offering.

United KingdomThe hotel looks very tired, particularly the public areas, corridors & rooms. It does not look like a 4* hotel. The corridors in particular are depressing with dirty looking carpet tiles, looking more like an institution than a hotel. The rooms were clean but basic and the two single beds pushed together did not work very well as a double bed. The furniture was rather shabby. Shampoo/body wash dispensers don't reflect 4* status & the wall mounted hairdryer in the bathroom is very old-fashioned. The furniture in the public lounge area is desperately in need of replacement - just does not feel like a 4* hotel Trying to book meals in the speciality restaurants proved very difficult. The app is not at all user-friendly and on 3 of our 5 evenings in the hotel, the only restaurant with availability was the Jungle which is geared for young families. Although the food in Coral was excellent, there was not enough staff to clear & re-set the tables so at busy times people were not able to sit down, even though there were plenty of tables.
The food was excellent in the Coral buffet restaurant with an amazing choice of hot & cold dishes at all meals. The coffee from the machines was excellent & the rosé wine was delicious! The very large pool area with plenty of sunbeds was great - a shame the weather wasn't very good to make the most of it during our stay. Lovely spa area with lots of treatments & very friendly staff. The gym had plenty of equipment & was open 24/7. There are plenty of lifts which worked very well. The shows were very professional & the performers were of a much higher standard than you would expect for a hotel. The bar service was fast, friendly & professional although there was no waiter service around the pool. The location across the road from a bus stop with buses to many different parts of the island for a 21€ weekly bus pass was perfect. Also, only 10 minutes from the ferry to Gozo/Comino.

United KingdomMassive issue with wasps around the bar, one small pool bar leading to queues, sunbeds reserved with towels very early so struggled to get near the pool even at 8am, difficult to book into the restaurants and even when we could only option was 6pm which was too early. Booked a pool view room and got a land view
Right across the road from the beach, bus stop outside, food was varied and the restaurants were nice, animation team were great, staff were friendly, pool was big. Shop had everything you needed, sports bar was nice and bowling was nice to have onsite

IrelandResort is fab, food is one of the best we have had in an all inclusive in Europe for sure, however the drinks could be improved! Prosecco on tap would be a great addition to the restaurants! The best restaurants for sure was L'Orient and Salia 🥰 kids pool isn't the best if I am honest, mine were 2 and 4 and too small to use but the main pool was excellent, no issues with beds at all and plenty of umbrellas. Room was brilliant and so well cleaned! Staff were brilliant 🙌🏼 Some tiny tiny things if you were extremely fussy. The big thing for me was the bar standard at night, could be hugely improved and the seating isn't 5 star, very 2 star! But didn't take away from the holiday at all! Last thing, it's wasp central! Beware if allergic!

United KingdomMy own fault as I should’ve done more research prior to booking, but this hotel is definitely more suited to families than young couples The air con in our room was not strong enough so made the room quite uncomfortable to sleep in
The variety of the food The friendliness of the staff How quickly we were served at all of the bars and restaurants The Italian restaurant - definitely try book this as soon as you arrive!
