Super recommended. Perfect for a simple and just-what-you-need place to stay. Water was provided which was highly appreciated. Local restaurant recommendations were appreciated and spot on. AC kept the room at a perfect cool temperature.

Very nice and helpful owners. I liked my room and the place was close to anything. They organised my transfer early. We had a nice conversation about the island life traditions and island history. Water overflows onto the floor while taking a shower. But it’s not a problem.

The hosts at Sunshine View are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They assisted us in booking water activities, escorted us to the meeting point, and patiently waited until we were on the boat. He efficiently accommodated our request to change the booked activity day. The location is not only good but also peaceful.

Wonderful stay at Sun Shine View. The host family was excellent and struck the perfect balance of giving me my privacy at the same time as making me feel looked after, including by meeting me at the port and helping me to arrange activities and logistics. The room is cosy and comfortable and made-up daily. It is located in the more local part of the island, just a short walk from the touristy area, giving you a more meaningful and authentic travel experience. Thank you for having me!!

The guest house was good The room clean and cozy There is a small balcony with somewhat obstructed but decent view The owner was very kind and friendly Available when needed , he picked me up from Maafushi port The location is good and since the island is small everything is within a 10 minute walk

Very good location in the heart of maafushi. The host shafiq was really nice, friendly, and helpful. He gave me valuable information on exploring the maldives and helped with arranging tours at reasonable prices.

Very friendly welcome. Host was helpful and willing to talk about life in Maafushi. The room was clean and the premises well located and quiet. There was a very large range of snorkelling equiptment available to use for free

Nothing to dislike about the place at all.

The room made us feel like home. Very cozy didn't feel like going out at times. Shafeeq and his wife are amazing hosts. They made us feel like home. Always there to help and guide on everything and provided everything. It was much more expected for the value. 100% recommend this place as it made our anniversary getaway, the best. If you have a budgeted place, sunshine view is the best option.

Wifi bit slow but not major issue

Stayed here 6 nights and enjoyed it very much. Room was clean, the hosts were very attentive and welcoming, they would go out of their way to recommend day tours and activities. we were given beach towels, free snorkels and breakfast, so very good value for money. As Maafushi is quite small then it is close to everything and nice restaurants around the corner. Really recommend to stay here whilst on the island

Sun shine view is a great budget stay on Maafushi. It's clean, the couple that run it are friendly and it's a decent location. They helped a group of us that were leaving to go to another island to book a private speedboat to share and got us a discount when the public ferry broke down due to engine problems.
