  • Nanga Damai Homestay Review score: 9.6

“Perfect little gem, we would go back anytime, the owners are so friendly and helpful, the outside area is amazing, you see monkeys from the terrace almost every day. We loved this place! Make sure you hire a car from Kuching, not only to get to Nanga Damai but also to explore the area, it's worth it and driving is easy, not much traffic at all. If you are fit and like hiking, Mount Santubong is waiting for you :) and the "Blue Pool" is a nice loop, as well. Kuching Wetlands by boat is fun and there's a lot more! ENJOY”

  • Damai Beach Resort Review score: 6.9

“Damai has a long history with me, my parents and my siblings growing up and staying over the weekend. Now we had a family reunion with 2nd generation kids of my older brother n sister, excepting we like them to experience the beach the location. It was just fine like 3/5 stars. Rooms were comfortable. Overall the Staff was accommodating and helpful. Stunning beach and sunset view.”

  • Permai Rainforest Resort Review score: 8.2

“If you love nature, just go here. The treehouses (we had number 5, which has an almost free view to the sea) are situated in the middle of the Rainforest and we saw different kind of monkeys from our balcony passing by. The treehouse was clean and freshly painted. Staff is kind and there are several activities . We went with KC on a nighttour and he showed us several nocturnal animals / insects. The restaurant is good.”

  • Permai Rainforest Resort Review score: 8.2

“The treehouse was perfect - simple but comfortable and with everything I needed. Clean and in good condition. The bed was good, there was a kettle, fridge and nespresso, full functioning bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the sea. Food from the nearby Feeding Tree was good and not overpriced. I guess the other options for food would be the next resort, which has at least one bar, and some food stalls (and a 7-11) near the Cultural Village and within walking distance. Both beaches are good but disappear at high tide.”
