Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaIt did seem a bit expensive for what it is. I didn't mind the rough path and long climb to the treehiuse. The trip out from Kuching is about an hour. Easy to find a Grab out there; but coming back the help of reception is needed, and do not leave it to the last minute to ask them as rides might need prebooking.
The treehouse was perfect - simple but comfortable and with everything I needed. Clean and in good condition. The bed was good, there was a kettle, fridge and nespresso, full functioning bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the sea. Food from the nearby Feeding Tree was good and not overpriced. I guess the other options for food would be the next resort, which has at least one bar, and some food stalls (and a 7-11) near the Cultural Village and within walking distance. Both beaches are good but disappear at high tide.

Brunei DarussalamThe aircon was intermittent. Staff kept getting food orders wrong, forgetting them, or bringing food out ages after we’d ordered. Kids meals in particular (spaghetti bolognese) took over an hour to arrive by which time everyone else had finished eating and one of them was asleep.
We stayed in a tree house which had an amazing view of the sea, trees and sunset. We watched Silver Leaf and Proboscis monkeys just meters away from our balcony. Night jungle walk was excellent.

SingaporeExtra Noisy and hard to use aircon which took long time to cool the room. Very hard to carry luggage around, some distance between room and car park without shelter which was a nightmare in rains.

RussiaYes, you will live in a tree house in a nature park and have a beautiful view of the beach. The only thing is that you should be prepared for the fact that everything is older than it looks in the photo. Also, local monkeys will come to visit you, and a squirrel was even able to sneak into the house and steal a croissant. We also saw a monitor lizard near the cafe. You are unlikely to get something like this anywhere else. Despite the simplicity and slight wear and tear (the houses could use some renovation), the rooms have a shower, refrigerator and air conditioning, which makes your stay quite comfortable. You must understand that this is not a luxury resort and the main thing here is nature. The forest trails and beach here are truly wonderful. There is always a rental station for sups and kayaks on the beach. The rooms are cleaned daily and the staff is always ready to help you to make your stay here generally comfortable and I'm reading this interesting experiment. Breakfast is included in the stay - it is very simple, but acceptable. You can have lunch and dinner at the neighboring resort or go to the neighboring village of Kampung Buntal, where there are several excellent local restaurants. Calling a taxi is very easy. It’s even better to leave for Kuching in the evening and arrive at night to go to your house through the night forest. This was definitely the most unusual accommodation experience during my travels, and there was a lot that could have been better here, but that’s not really something to criticize. I recommend this hotel to those who want something new.

MalaysiaThe tree house netting is very dusty. Hence cannot really open the windows else the dust gets into the room.
The view from the tree house. No TV. The sound of the wave in the room. The trial. Did the waterfall hike. Good fun.

MalaysiaThe water supply was erratic. We sometimes found ourselves without water but the flow would return in about 30 minutes. I'm not sure why this was the case. This place has seen better days though. Being by the ocean has worn it down pretty badly.
I loved the fact that we were surrounded by trees. We were visited by a family of silver leaf monkeys in the morning. The design of the treehouse is really cool and it overlooks the ocean. We were surrounded by the sound of waves and it was really peaceful. They also provided an espresso machine and espresso capsules., a real treat. The spread of the buffet breakfast was decent but do go early because they don't necessarily replace all the food like for like. We saw pineapples in the morning but decided to go for a walk on the beach first and they replaced it with honeydew. There was also very little broccoli and carrot left by the time we went and it took about half an hour before a new batch was brought out.

CambodiaBiggest issue was in the bathroom of our treehouse, there was mold all over the ceiling. This could be dangerous for people who are allergic to mold. This needs to be addressed. There is no wifi in the treehouses, only at the restaurant. As others have said, it's a bit expensive for what you get as the treehouses are basic and in need of an update.
The rainforest and beach location is quite nice if you want to get out of the city and spend some time in nature. I enjoyed listening to the waves and seeing the monkeys. Staff was friendly and helpful.

SingaporeI regret the restaurant dishes were not as good as before. Previously there was a buffet and it was really good, simple dishes in variety for all the tastes. The A la carte dishes are disappointing, too salty or oily personality.
Thr 2 trails, blue pool and waterfall although they are difficult I enjoy doing them I also visited the Sarawak cultural centre nearby, very interesting

SingaporeThe floor was a bit sandy, and the chairs in the room and outside the balcony could be replaced.
It's a treehouse with beach view! Very calming waves and insect calls at night. I like that the pillow wasn't too high for me too, and a mini fridge was provided.

NetherlandsThe AC in our first and Second room didn’t work but the staff got on it right away to fix is.
The treehouses are great! The location is perfect, just on the edge of the rainforrest and the beach. The view is amazing. The accomodation is not luxury but beds are good, AC and fan in the room, Decent bathroom and a Nice balcony with view. The resort itself is very Nice. It’s in the jungle so a good chance to see some animals right in the resort. We saw monkeys in the way from the room to the restaurant. The restaurant is very good, local food and western food. Good view for sunsets aswell. The beach is Nice and you can rent kayaks, paddleboards etc. Keep in mind that locals visit the beach and resort for a day trip. The staff is amazing and will help you with everything. Plenty to do around and in the resort especially the different hikes and even a night walk.

AustraliaIt’s a bit tired. Probably due for a renovation soon, but still great value for money. It’s a dry camp, no alcohol 😉

SingaporeThe cabin is a little old and tatty.
The location is great, there are two nice jungle trails that can be accessed from the resort. The resort has a nice beach. The cultural museum is within 5min walking distance and is a great and interesting place to spend some time. We could see proboscis monkeys from our cabin! The staff is great, friendly and very helpful. Just to be aware off, the resort is halal only.

United KingdomWe stayed in a villa and the villa itself was pretty tired and needs a lick of paint. It was just a bed for the night really, the main attraction here is being in the rainforest. If you want a bit of luxury it’s not the place.
The resort is lovely, you are literally in the rainforest which is very relaxing & we loved spotting the wild monkeys! There are plenty of things to do around the area. We went on a few boat trips provided by the resort and they were great, we saw dolphins, firefly’s, crocodiles and monkeys🐒 The staff were so helpful and friendly & everything was clean. I’d defo stay here again.

Truly special place and very sustainably made. I love how the resort doesn’t ruin the landscape and is made of sustainable materials. staff were nice and very accommodating. what makes this place special is its location and the thought they’ve put in designing to make it sustainable and less intrusive to the living things in the forest

Australianothing. however - if you want wifi it is available in the restaurant and reception but not accommodation.
The location is unsurpassed if you want to stay in the jungle and on the coast. The treehouses are high above the ground - about 30 steps - but are surrounded by forest with views through the trees of the sea. the restaurant has a simple but delicious menu. walks are well marked. I saw proboscis monkeys three times in the space of two days. It is a short walk to the Sarawak Cultural centre, a food court and 7-11. if you like unique places in nature I would highly recommend.
