- It can be noisy. We had a very loud family in the room above us and you can hear it very well. Request a room on the top floor (2nd?) to decrease risk and/or bring ear plugs - The towels are from a fabric that doesn't dry very well and doesn't make your skin dry

The room we had was not luxurious or hypermodern but certainly adequate and good enough. Fortunately we were on the highest, second, floor and at the end of the corridor - because the doors of all the rooms are hardly sound proofed, and you do hear other guests in other rooms. Had we been in another room, in between, we may have been confronted with more unwelcome noise.

Kuala Taha can get extremely busy during holidays and in weekends. This guesthouse is located within walking distance of the (not too big) center, yet a bit removed from the main road, and the end of a driveway, and with trees in the back and on the side. So excellent location if you want a bit more quietness. There is also free coffee and tea and cookies downstairs. The staff member (a Sri Lankan handling reception) was exceptionally friendly and helpful. On Christmas Eve the owners and staff organised a barbecue in the private garden of the guest house, which was extremely kind... not even the fairly copious rain could change our appreciation for that. Many rooms have their own balcony, some to the parking on the front, others on the side.

The room gets rather cold in the evenings, don’t forget to take warm clothes with you. I get cold easily, so I slept in my warm clothes. I didn’t like the shower with the thermostat - difficult to control, becomes less hot quickly, shower pressure isn’t great. I tried asking staff about tours in advance via chat, but their responses were very brief and I couldn't plan my holiday based on that, so I ended up buying a tour elsewhere.

Nice guesthouse with a lovely little garden where you can sit and relax. Unlike other hotels in Tanah Rata, it is located away from the busy roads, so it’s peaceful and quiet there. Convenient location- 10 min walk from the bus terminal, close to various cafes. I liked the cardless system - you just use a password for your room. They don’t ask for a cash deposit, unlike many other Malaysian hotels. There is no fridge in the room, but there is a big communal fridge downstairs which guests can use (also a microwave). Some reviews here mentioned bad smell / mold - fortunately, I didn’t experience that. But, it is indeed humid and nothing dries, including the towels which remain wet throughout the night. There is no lift but staff helped me carry my luggage upstairs.

English of staff is basic, some information you can better get at another place. Showers aren't hot, the boiler only provided enough hotness that the shower was not really cold. No area to chill or grab some drinks inside.

Location is perfect, shared areas are very clean, staff is friendly. Garden is beautifull. Room was fine, beds were nice, only a little bit short for me (~180 cm).

There was a damp smell in the room and the sheets, but probably usual considering the wet weather conditions and no options for heating.

The location is very central, you can reach everything by foot, there is a kitchen with free water, tea and small snacks. The host was very friendly and the atmosphere is homely. He organized a tour for us and had some valuable tips for hiking the area.

Nice. I get 2 beds. Single bed and double bed. The room was nice, the view was nice. But the sheets smell a little bit. Cleaness of sheet 2.5⭐️ out of 5. But it is acceptable for me. The parking pretty packed but still manageable. They use smart tv and u can watch netflix using their account. They give minerals water which is good. Some hotel provide drinking water.

The side stairs entrance is a bit dirty. The stair at the room entrance are not marked with caution tape. Me and my kids almost trip a few times since the stair color is similar with the floor.

The location is at Tanah Rata. Pretty convenient to reach the places of attraction. Recommended for those who like quiet environment.Love the garden very much.Room is pretty clean,staff were friendly and helpful. Very near to restaurants and eateries (within walking distance)

No AC in the room. That’s not necessary in terms of temperature, but the room was very humid and no way to dehumidify it. A damp bed is really not nice. We didn’t like the layout/decoration of the common area inside, but that’s a matter of taste.

Good location, everything within walking distance but the hotel is still in a quiet place. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Nice garden with the hotel.
