Everything there has seen better days. Could do with a complete update, especially better beds.

Very run down. Office was dirty. Looked like it’s unsanitary. Layers of grime.room was clean, but so old, run down, old patched peeling paint. Small TV (22”??) in corner next to loud window AC unit. Bed nor comfortable. Tiny bathroom. Drippy shower head.

The bathroom sink drain didn't open. The handle was broken and the water didn't drain. The kitchenette sink dripped continuously. The person that checked me in was housekeeping or maintenance. He was nice and did his best. He was unsure about the billing. The room was clean a comfortable.

The hotel staff went out of their way to provide us with excellent service and upgraded our room to accommodate our large group of six people. As a result, we were able to enjoy our stay in a comfortable and spacious environment. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and accommodating stay.

They need to fix things like no soap dish in the shower. Electric outlet plates are on tight and there is a knob on the baseboard heater.

Low price for a decent clean room. No frills but the bed was comfortable, the water was hot and the fridge was cold

They did not have continental breakfast even though their posting said they did. Couldn't adjust thermostat (knob had been removed) and there were no extra blankets. It got really chilly!

Very run down, mold in the bathroom, box springs on bed were broken, visible dirt on the walls, the blinds were old and broken and didn’t cover the windows. It’s advertised as breakfast included and it was not. The room also smelled.

Issues with TV, no breakfast

Location near food stores and short drive to downtown areas, beautifully engulfed in the trees close to hikes and Empire State Mine Park

The TV did not work at all and I talked to the manager about I mistakenly put 2 days down and he said he talked to the owner so he said we should not be charged for the second night … but booking still has it charged . Can that be reversed please? It would be under Laura Tatreau credit card

The room definitely needs some TLC. The bathroom was not very big and it looked like it needed some painting and cleaning around baseboards. One of the wall lights by the bed did not work. The entrance door molding looked like it had been broken into and just a mini-fix situation. We could not find a remote for the TV and when we asked the staff for one they acted like we had taken it. They eventually found one that worked for the TV. Could not figure out the microwave or the coffee machine. And they did not have a continental breakfast as advertised.

Staff was extremely helpful and courteous.

What I liked was the location. The communal area was cute and cozy. It was nice to have a kitchen area despite not using it.

What I didn’t like: The carpet smelled so bad that I thought the bedding was dirty. The mattress was old so it made it uncomfortable. The shades in the bedroom was broken, so you can’t change. I had to change in the bathroom. They should rip out the carpet and just put flooring in, add through rugs.

A/c only had a Hi setting, no lower switch working. Shower needs a bit more maintenance and cleaning. Chair needs cleaned as there’s spots of I don’t know on it. Toilet 🚽 way to short.

The facilities are a bit worn and dated, and the amenities are limited.

This is a simple little inn with no frills. It is well located and can be seen as a good value. My room was perfectly clean, and the TV functioned well with plenty of free options. The AC was an older window unit, but it worked well.

It was a non-smoking room, but definitely smelled like cigarette. I left windows open and the window fan on to help air it out, but the smell was deep. Luckily I am not sensitive. The bathroom was a bit dated and needed some work (toilet rocked some and the bathroom window had a crack in it). I wouldn't bring someone there for a romantic getaway.

The location was good for my needs but was not in the town center, as expected, and helped keep the price down compared to other options. It was much more affordable than all other options near Nevada City center. The parking was super easy and in front of the room. The bed was comfortable enough and clean. There was a small round table, two chairs, open closet, ironing board, dresser, TV, and in window AC/Fan.

Bed was broken, needed to prop it up with a stack of books under the middle. Matrasses were shorter than bed bases. Website said breakfast included, but it hasn't been for years. Blatant misleading advertising.
