The ongoing renovation work in the morning can be disturbing for tired guests who wish to sleep in later than usual. Did not get to use the gym the night we arrived, so can't say much about it. The breakfast staff could engage with guests more to bring a homey feel to the meal experience, perhaps they weren't comfortable speaking English, but a friendly demeanour and effort to speak pasar English would still hv been acceptable. Sadly, the chef who fried the eggs did what he wanted and left the scene soon after he piled a number of runny sunny sides up into the covered pot. Thus guests could not specify how they preferred their eggs. Food on display were left to cool. Thank God the porridge was covered and acceptably warm, but the solitary fly buzzing around the open condiments was disconcerting. Hot food and attentive wait staff would hv been welcome to travellers.

Love the location and movie theme. Front desk and security staff were polite, helpful and courteous. One could tell that they were eager to meet the needs of guests and came across as professional and sincere in their efforts to attend to guests. They did what they could within their milieu of service and responsibility and were willing to accommodate simple requests with flourish. All the more reason to back here again.

Simple, no frills, comfortable hotel. Bonus lovely view of the sea. Nice enough breakfast. We stayed here for one night after arriving in Borneo, before heading off for a 3 day jungle stay, and it did the job well. We were able to leave our bags in the hotel storage while we were away which was super convenient.

The staff is prone to lying, or has no clue about things. Not very helpful. We were interested in a tours options and they said that the tour representative was on a lunch break. That was not true they didn't work at that day at all and we wasted 2 hours waiting on their return... We had to exchange our bedsheet as it was dirty. There were no hand towels. Breakfast was cold and at 8 am it was already empty.

Breakfast choice could be improved. Music and noise from the streets and shops downstairs can sometimes be heard. I was there during the Ramadhan month and there was an event held downstairs at the square that started in the evening all the way to night at around 10.30pm. The speech, music and singing could be heard from my room at the third floor.

Very clean. There is a small but well maintained gym with beautiful sea view with some basic equipments but sufficient for work out. The room was very clean. Good services rendered by staff from room service to reception to staff at the restaurant. Strategic location surrounded by eateries within walking distance and a mall next to it.

Not dislike but worth mentioning the breakfast wasn't great and unless you asked for eggs they weren't offered. There is also a water bottle refill station that is very well hidden.

Very centrally located if you want to visit Sandakan, the room was a good size and clean with a comfortable bed and sea view. The bathroom and shower were excellent.

I could not use the AC for a while and requested help and it was a long wait. Then, apparently they came while I was out, but still the AC did not work when I returned, so I had to call again. Later I was told I needed to use a switch that was sort of hidden on the walls in the room. There was no indication of this at any place or by anyone, so this was a wasted time. The room was just above a busy street, but it was quiet at a decent hour. The breakfast is at another building and choices is not very varied. The coffee is bad.

All was great

The hotel as well as nearby area is managed by the hotel itself. The location is nice, we requested a sea facing room and got it and the view was amazing. The rooms are spacious and you can easily spend enough time in rooms. The hotel is located in the market area and you can find restuarants and eateries at walking distance. Getting a cab was never an issue as hotel is located right opposite a mall. Being a vegetarian, they also accomodated our request for breakfast menu and prepared separate non-meat dishes for us. A great coffee shop called Roastery#1 was also walking distance and they also prepared some veg dishes for us. Overall this hotel experience was great in Sandakan.

Whilst there were a number of offerings for food we were a little disappointed with the choice at breakfast, especially if you went a later. One bonus was they would cook eggs to order.

Being in the main centre of Sandakan the smell from outside gets into the room through the Aircon so the whole room ends up smelling really bad. The breakfast was also not very nice.

Very noisy outside the hotel as there was a Ramadan festival on - wish this had been communicated at the time of booking. Thankfully did not go on too late.

Very good location. Right next to Sandakan Central Markets. Easy place for tours to pick you up from. Shopping centre right next door so easy to pick up anything that you need. Clean apartment. Great view over the water. Lovely staff with excellent communication. Standard breakfast.

Windows are not very Sound proofed; we asked for support with arrangiert a taxi, but they just recommend the GRAP app

Didnt cater for my dietary requirements at breakfast even though I informed them when I booked and at checkin. No effort was made to make sure I had same experience as other guests who could eat anything even though I paid the same!
