I like the environment & the ambiance there, felt like we were staying in the forest, and the staffs are all accommodating & cheerful. We love this resort very much, we even spotted a few proboscides there & definitely will come back again.

What's not to like!

Very peaceful and relaxing, I enjoyed sitting on the balcony of my tree house on the edge of the rainforest, watching and listening to the sea lapping on the shore a few metres away below. There were also local wild monkeys that fed in the treetops around the cabins and tree houses and throughout the resort, both proboscis and silver monkeys were present. Staff were all great and friendly, full marks. The Cultural Village was also right next door.

We stayed only two nights, it's not enough to explore this place properly.

This is the best place to stay at this area to enjoy true staying inside the jungles. We saw proboscis monkeys just next to the reception, but there are many other animals around,from huge butterflies to small squirrels. There are two perfect beaches and jungle pool, we were almost alone during swimming and sunbathing. The cabin was perfect, with amazing seaview and all basic amenities. The restaurant starts working from early morning which is good for further planning of the day, and the food is delicious 😋! Try shakshuka and roti for your breakfast, 200% worth it. However the mostly we appreciate friendly atmosphere and helpful staff, we felt like at home. Thanks a lot, we will come back!

The room was filthy and the bathroom and toilet were very slippery. For 6 people room, only 3 coffee mixes, 4 creamers, and 4 sugar are available. No drinking water was provided. Only 1 glass bottle of drinking water. Very dirty boiler. Stains on the floor. The curtains are very dirty—towels with stains. The blankets and bedsheets are filthy and dusty. Not worth the money. Since there is no phone line, we cannot call to get any services from the receptionist. If we need anything from them, we must walk far to the lobby. Besides that, after 8 pm no one was at the lobby as well.

Absolutely amazing area! Beautiful place on the coast in the rainforest. You can see monkeys just from the balcony. Great natural pool, 2 beach sides, hiking area. The tree house was clean and comfortable. We had extra bed as we travelled with kids. We had a wonderful time there! Would love to come back again.

maybe the best place I’ve ever stayed. it feels so much in nature. tons of silver leaf and proboscis monkeys just hanging out in the trees. great hiking trails. the ocean just outside the window. sound of waves at night. truly a beautiful jungle experience.

Receptionist are not welcoming , and not friendly unprofessional. Attending us while munching on foods. Didn’t mention of policies in the booking.com apps. Extra person - have to add rm90 for a very uncomfortable & thin matttress. Prohibited to bring snacks/ mineral water / food in or else need to pay per pax for it ( corkage fee ) No bellboy service for our luggage. Receptionist mention they are off duty , while there is one staff who is in charge of it that day & a guy staff was with us while we were struggling to bring up our luggage, however no courtesy to offer help. Dirty linen and side table - the same staff guy came to change linen and side table after he sent off anither customer luggage to their room.

We barely got an hour of sleep. We weren’t warned of the storm that caused our treehouse to rock back and forth the entire night, with trees snapping around us and hitting our windows on the way down.

Considering how much we paid for the stay in the villa, we were fairly dissappointed for the following reasons: 1. had to pay for use of air-conditioning units - but one out of 2 units was not working 2. power sockets in 2nd room, and in the main living room (serving the fridge) wer not working 3. no shampoo, shower gel provided. No tray to hold soap in toilet. 4. the fan in master bedroom only worked at high speed - not moving when turned to low speed of 1-3 (out of max of 5). all of us (family of 4) have to cramped into master bedroom (with working air-conditioning unit) overnight. the villa we stayed in was quite further away from the reception office - had to tow our luggages a fair distance, luckily, we only carry with us small check-in luggages. we decided to check out earlier by one day. written a letter to the management stating our predicament (and hopefully can get some sort of refund), but have not heard from the team after 6 days.

to be able to feel “in the jungle” whilst being only 1/2hr from Kuching. The treehouses are awesome! Jungle pool is a great spot to cool off after a short or long trek thru the rainforest 💚

We are a bit upset to hear that Flying fox, the pyramid and banana boat was not available at the moment. I hope this activities will recover before our next trip to Permai Rainforest Resort again.

The tree house was in excellent condition. The food which was served by the Feeding Tree Restaurant was delicious. The staff was so polite, friendly and helpful. I have been here for more than 2 times and this is my 3rd trip. I decided to bring my kids along. Imagine that my kids was always hand on handphone decided to drop and have fun in the nature. The activities which was organized by the Permai Rainforest Resort was so good until my kids totally forgot about their phone games, so exhausted and went to sleep early. As a teenager, they love the snorkeling and hiking so much.

the staff, also the fact that reception closes felt a bit unsafe as we're in the middle of nowhere but we didnt run into issues.

it's a tree house in the forest with a view of the beach, the location was insane! it was like a scene from a movie. Also right in front of the hiking starting point. The treehouse was surprisingly clean and insect-free! I wish we stayed more than one night!

Improve on the cooking skills. My food was burnt at dinner but it was okey.

I could see Proboscis monkey from my room. The staff at the restaurant dining was so friendly and great customer service. Both ladies awesome.

We stayed at the tree top and personally I didn't like that we didn't have any help to carry the bags up the stairs. Not too sure if we could have requested though. Great place nonetheless.

Loved how it was away from the city and had its own private beach! Such a beautiful sunset which was definitely worth the travel. Loved the mosquito net all around the place. Amazing!
