Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsOnly point of improvement was that the WiFi could only connect to my phone and not to my laptop. But it could be the issue of the user as well ;-)
All was good. Had a breakfast package which was perfectly organised at the agreed time. All went well with the rented e bike.

GermanyCheck-in was slow. Had to wait for approx. 20 minutes, due to lack of extra staff members. This week there was a big international exhibition and the check-in counter was only "manned" with one person. Too little! The breakfast was offered as an open buffet, which really surprised me, because of the lack of Covid-19 protection measures. No sanitary desinfection liquids at the buffet where available - only upon my request 1 tiny bottle was placed at the entrance area to the breakfast room. Very surprising that such a enormous breakfast room did not offer desinfection liquids for clean fingers/hands, every two meters on the breakfast buffet ... Covid-19 numbers are currently rising extremely fast, so this preventive measures I did miss. Mentioned it to the staff; both in the breakfast room and at the check-in reception desk.
Very nice and spacious room, with possibility to open a bull-eye window. Comfortable bed, blankets and pillows. Tasteful interior. The bathroom has been okay too.

NetherlandsThat the ship was not sailing ;) There were other activities inside the ship but it was expensive, specially with the ticket price. They should do better deals for people staying overnight.
I liked the location because it was inside a ship. The scenery outside was nice, it was very beautiful at night. It was very quiet and nice without any disturbances.

GermanyThe places on the ship are limited to visit, i.e. to some decks. Here, maybe corona, but also clearly restricted areas for groups or VIPs etc. limit the possibiity to move freely on the ship. Thus, for instancce taking a sundowner to the top deck is not possible.
INteresting to sleep on a former cruiser. The cabins are ok. Beds are perfekt. Restaurant ist also good and breakfast extraordinary.

QatarLarge parts of the ship are closed off to the hotel guests which is a real shame. Parking is also quite expensive and the tours close very early. The Captains lounge is unbearably hot and dark.
breakfast was good. The novelty is experiencing the ship and the history of it

GermanyThe breakfast is in buffet style, not too great: no fresh juice, poor selection on fresh veggies and fruits…
Being a former cruise liner it still has lots of old charm. Beds are comfy but interior o t rooms are not in style. Grill resto ´the Lido’ serves good steaks and a proper Caesar salad. Super friendly staff!

United StatesStaying on an old ship that is docked by a city is a wonderful experience. They offered excellent tours to visit the areas that had been decorated so beautifully many, many years ago.

United KingdomAdded extra costs on check in (Room upgrades, breakfast and city tax). Very poor communication before arrival. They take up to a week to answer an email. Multiple different departments who all deal with different things (but the department you need never seem to be available. Staff (particularly reception) very unhelpful and at times quite rude.
Interesting to stay on a ship. Lots of things to look at on board. Lovely views from the top deck. Nice food. Clean.

NetherlandsVery soft pillows and mattress. It's not very comfortable for the back.
This place offers a unique experience of being in a real museum ship. If you have never been on a cruise ship, but have always dreamed of it, this is a great opportunity to feel like you are on a cruise without being afraid of sea motion. Be sure to take a tour of the ship and learn its history. It's very interesting and beautiful. The staff deserves special attention; the people who work there love this place. Especially thanks to everyone who conducted the excursion and told interesting moments from the history of the ship.
