It’s pretty far form Leiden city center and the public transportation is not so good.

Great room with comfortable bed. The garden/patio outside of the room was very nice. The staff were kind and very helpful. The surrounding area is pretty and it’s nice to walk around it.

You could hear the airplanes even with closed windows etc. otherwise very quiet you could sometimes hear the noises from the hallway. Since we had a baby we kind of felt bad for the others since we did not know if she could be heard by the others no fridge rather small rooms no lift

We were surprised that the rooms were smaller and more basic than we had previously experienced in all our other booking.com places.

Location is everything with this hotel. It has extensive grounds around the small castle that are great for walking, and it is in walking distance of the restaurant area.

Breakfast was served until 11 as it was a Saturday. I had just participated in the Kagerzoom Parkrun, so arrived at 10. Breakfast was already very depleted. This is probably always the case later in the session.

There was work being carried out so a bit in tidy. The rooms are good but the restaurant could be better (breakfast was chaotic/understaffed, dinner service excruciating slow)

Rooms were rather basic. but for the price it is acceptable. Parking was bit small but I saw they were expanding the parking area.

Very nice historical location (local castle). And close to Univ of Leiden where we had business. Breakfast was just standard but it is OK because I do not need much for breakfast.

The hotel itself is actually a building separate from the castle. It has a very small bar area (reasonable prices) and dining/breakfast area (with a good but expensive choice) and although the rooms are comfortable, they aren’t very modern. More 3* ‘land hotel’ than expected with some much needed TLC / updating required. The TV was barely audible due to a sound limit (!) - although this might be due to the thin walls. Some soundproofing for privacy would be helpful…

The hotel and castle are surrounded by a lovely forest area with a small lake. Quite a beautiful and charming setting. The staff are welcoming and very friendly and helpful.

The price of drinks from the minibar behind the counter are not transparent and priced excessive.

Absolutely loved the location, the room was clean, the shower was awesome and a breakfast with plenty of options.

When we just arrived, the room was not cleaned properly (spider web above the window and bed, little bit of human hair on the bed). We went to reception to make a complain, and left to dinner. When we came back to the room, everything was perfect. Great reaction so we don't mind this issue. When we saw the photos of hotel on Booking, we were thinking that we will sleep in the castle, but we read in the comments that the hotel is near the castle so don't be disappointed because hotel is still amazing.

Breakfast was amazing. Beds are extremely comfortable. Stuff is very polite and professional, especially young blond lady on the reception, don't know her name unfortunately. Bathroom is also very modern and practical. Location is great, with free parking. Hotel is also dog friendly, which was the reason why we chose it on the first place.

No view from the window. You must book dinner in the restaurant in advance. The restaurant does not serve launches, only snacks.

Very quiet place with free parking. Warm room. Hotel is a separate building. You will not live in the castle. Nice territory to go for a walk.
