Restaurant menu unnecessarily complicated with only fixed meal options

Room was older, not refurbished ( bathroom was) - probably on account of the dog which is understandable. No room service. I would suggest a basic menu for those not able to sit in the restaurant, or not wanting to having a meal in the lobby check in area. A basic menu for hotel guests is recommended.

Property is historic Close to forest/ park area. Traveled with dog, which was very nice. Good tv channels.

The bed wasn't very comfortable Wifi reception was weak in the room, probably because it was at the corner Sound isolation was somewhat inadequate

Parking was a 5 min walk from the house.

The restaurant of the hotel was closed on January 1st. This was rather inconvenient. If the hotel is open, I expect the same for the restaurant. We had to hunt for dinner in the city, where many restaurants were closed on New Year's Day. The bathroom and toilet (separate) are tiny, and there are no A/C outlets next to the bed. I heard that a remodel is planned. When that is completed, we definitely will come back. Check-out was at or before 11:00 AM. At 11:04, we had the check-in desk (morning shift) person knocking on the door to remind us. Some flexibility would have been nice (we would have been ready at 11:15 AM at the latest).

The hotel is in a beautiful and quiet location with a lovely park to walk in; it has 5-star potential. The woman we checked in with (evening shift) was amiable and very accommodating; kudos to her!

Great hotel located right in the park of a beautiful castle. Great for spending the night in tranquility surrounded by nature, and still very close to Leiden by bike.

rooms are quite simple. one bed lamp was missing. bit “spartan”. less fancy / luxurious than you would expect given the proximity of a castle.

The dinner was exquisite but extremely slow - 2 hours and 30 minutes for a standard (and quite fixed) 3-course menu on a Monday evening with only 4 tables of guests to be waited.

The place is really great for business, leasure, pet friendly, family friendly. Lovely outdoors, the rooms are small but comfortable and sparkling clean.

The bed mattress is soft and gives way on the sides so it makes the bed effectively narrower. No fridge.

Location, free parking, quiet. We asked for and received an extra blanket.

Minor detail of improvement. The lock system of the room had a hick-up. When returning after breakfast the rooms couldn’t be openen with the card. It seemed to happen with a certain frequency so probably a point of improvement.

The location is well situated, the dinner was really good and the staff was most friendly and service oriented! The rooms were clean, the bed was good and the shower was great!

The rooms are too stuffy, and warm, there's no air conditioning. We had to sleep with the window open, which opened directly into the parking lot. Naturally, the restaurant and cars were making noise till late and in the morning. Even the deluxe rooms are rather small. The breakfast is really basic for the price; some warm food was gone by 9:30 already. Someone's hair on the bedside table was not cleaned properly. We asked for two room keys but they always worked mutually exclusive, not both at the same time : )

Great location near Leiden. Katwijk is 20 minutes by car. There's a small park on the premises, and an old building called a 'castle'. The restaurant offered a 3-5 course menu which is not an option for a kid, but they were flexible to offer only a single course
