- Way too narrow beds, slippery topper, I happened to be falling down at night because the topper was sliding down. - Slippery floor in the bathroom and bedroom, water gets literally everywhere while showering, hard to sweep it dry so you tend to bring the water into the bedroom and the floor gets even more slippery. I slipped so badly I nearly killed myself!

Bathroom/shower too small and very basic. Room lacked a dressing mirror. Kitchen was poorly equipped for self catering. Evening ‘buffet’ at the Lodge consisted of 3 different stews and some bread. Very basic and bland. Also overly priced at almost 30€ per person.

Fabulously helpful staff. Devid went out of his way at meeting customer needs. Cottage was spacious enough for two people. Easy access to the woods and the waterfall. Self service sauna and bbq facilities brilliant.

Toilet in the cabin was quite small. The road which leads to the fells goes across the yard and there is some traffic during the high season.

Very friendly staff and good breakfast! Nice small cabin(s) located in the middle of nature, very close to the Alta Canyon route starting point. Cabin equipped with needed appliences such as fridge, kettle etc. Cabin was very clean and the yard was very well kept as well. Accommodation for people who love nature and cozy feeling.

The walks nearby were good, but the flies and mosquitoes were troublesome.

The location, surrounded by nature (but easy-to-drive road from Alta) was very scenic. The wi-fi worked well, The room had character. THere is convenient food available for many hours starting in the late afternoon. This was a buffet of three casseroles (we liked all three, so that was good), with good bread. Beer etc. available. Silent at night.

It is expensive to both stay there and to get a transfer from Alta if needed. However it is worth the experience and it is also cheaper than some other options within the general area.

Great location, with nature and walks available from the lodge. The scenery on the drive to the lodge is fantastic. Great area for northern lights viewing if you have clear skies. Staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. Good breakfast in a nice environment. I got to see great northern lights, stunning snowy landscapes and even some Moose😀😀

The cabin we stayed in didnt have a working stove which was a bummer but not a deal deal breaker.

Breakfast was great and so was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and nice. Made you feel right at home. The location is a bit far from town but its worth it if you're looking to be immersed in nature. The lodge offers lots of tours and activities.

We stayed in the dome at gargia Lodge as part of our honeymoon. We only stayed one night due to time constraints but we absolutely loved it. The staff could not have done more for us and made an extra effort to add some lovely touches to our room to celebrate our honeymoon. They also collected us at last minute from elsewhere in alta as we could not get transport to them. The area is beautiful and the dome was a wonderful experience with northern lights right outside. We would definitely stay again and thank you so much !

During our stay, there was only summer helper available: he couldn’t answer any questions, dinner requests or anything else. The room was not clean and the smell in the room was not what expected.

Location is ideal visiting Alta Canyon and waterfall. Still it’s in the middle of nowhere with no possibility to buy any extra food etc.

Wonderfull staff, very nice location near the Orvvosfossen and Alta canyon. Dinner was exellent. Our room had a floor heating int the bathroom wich was nice. We really enjoyed our stay!

We arrived Late at night but found the keys and instructions to enter our apartment. This lodge is located in the middle of nowhere, bull moose that cried loud in the night and husky dogs all around, it was really what we looked for.. unfortunately We spent just one night and couldn't Walk around for a hike in this beautiful place..

Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay

Fantastic place! Since we were there outside the main season and there were few visitors due to Covid, without having asked for it we got un upgrade to a very nice room inside the big house, with an additional bedroom on top. Since we were in Alta to do the hike to Sautso Canyon, the location couldn't have been better! It is only a 4 km drive to the starting point. The area is very quiet and in the room everything you might need is available: the seating area is spacious and comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped with a large dining table, and the shower is perfect. Perfect value for money!

There's a Husky Farm next door and the dogs were very loud in the night and early in the morning.

The cabin was very spacious since we got an upgrade for free which was so kind of them. Perfect location to see the Northern Lights.
