How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room's decor was a bit dull and the air was dry. However i may just not be used to dry air.
The breakfast was amazing. There was so much selection, they even had a lactofree/vegan section. It was all made well as well. The bathroom floor was heated, i loved that

No rugs or toilet brush in the bathroom. Poor tiling (leveling) the water from the shower flows away from the drain instead of going to the drain.
Location is great, the food is nice and many options to choose from. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Staff at front counter were often chatting amongst themselves even while guests were waiting to check in or ask a question. I wouldn't say they were deliberately rude but at other hotels guests have always been the priority over a conversation with a colleague.
Great location in Tromso. Airport transfer on the same block. Short walk to where most of the evening tours pick up and drop off. Hotel has luggage storage before and after check in/out. Breakfast provided - but limited gluten free options. Room was spacious enough for a twin room.

we were out a lot visiting but when we came back from our long day and night we would have loved to be able to watch a movie quietly in the room. we were not able to do so as the tv only had Norwegian channels and did not have access to either netflix nor screen mirroring in order to watch Netflix from our iPads on a bigger screen.
loved the location and breakfast was great! it is definitely good value.

Good location. Room is tiny, beds are two single put together, keep moving as well. Service is good but not great. Staff even put my room number wrong. I was running up and down for correct information. Breakfast is good but very crowded. Staff at restaurant are less helpful. It's OK stay but not very impressed.

Good hotel in a very convenient location, close to the port and city center. Excellent breakfast, one of the best I've ever had in a hotel worldwide.

Very small rooms. No space to put clothes away or store suitcase. Requested a double bed and got 2 single beds put together and 2 single duvets. No English TV.

We reached late at night due to flight delay and i communicated well in advance to the hotel but still it was overbooked and send me to another hotel though i have already paid the full amount

the shower water comes out from the shower cubicle.
I had a nice room looking towards to the bay. it was comfortable and clean. coffee is provided for 24 hours and the airport shuttle stops by the hotel.

The rooms were a bit to hot, and it seemed you couldn’t adjust it yourself.
We loved the location, close to everything you want to do in Tromso. The breakfast was amazing, even a small one provided for early departures. Very relaxed. The room big and the bathroom great.

dinner was not open on time which made it difficult to pay the significant money to scoff minimal food before heading to your booked activities. it says it opens at 5 but in reality did not.

No bar or proper restaurant, but there are lots of choices in the centre. In the room, electrical hazards in the room, power covers which you pull out when unplugging something, light fixtures on bed broken and hanging loose.

Breakfast room crowded, way to small for the amount of guest. EVERY day the same breakfast, not any changes in the food which was provided. Choice of bread not much, dry bread and no buns or real toast bread. Beds too soft. Shower cabin doors tricky;-) Door lock not locking when just closing the door from outside, need to be opened one more time and after that it locked, not safe system. Baggage storage room not safe, every guest just gets a key to put stuff inside, everyone could be able to check bags from other guests.
Very good located in the city center.
