There is no free parking. I paid about 35 EUR for 2-day parking. I suggest looking at the map and maybe you can find a cheaper option. close to the hotel.

Initially was in a room near a pub and smoking area. Very noisy and busy until 0130ish. Staff moved us after 2 nights and the new room was great and quiet

I like crispy bacon, and so, it would appear, does Mr Thon. His hotels, once the pinnacle of utilitarianism, have evolved into a very comfortable brand, and Thon Arendal demonstrates this transition well.

Not the hotel's fault, but signage from the railway station to the town was obscured by trees. We knew from a guidebook that a car park tunnel was the flattest way of accessing the town centre, but luckily found a local man who showed us the way - the tunnel did not look pedestrian friendly until you were in it. Not many signs in the town either.

Clean, comfortable room, good breakfast. Close to harbour in old town area. Fabulous views from upstairs breakfast room.

Roof top bar wasn’t open during afternoons. Missing 2nd suitcase holders/ lifters.

Size of the room, size of bathroom, breakfast and breakfast room, great roof top seating, it was a great experinece staying at the hotel. We will return to enjoy the beaufiful hotel

Found lipgloss in the room. Quite a few dusty spots in the room including the box containing tea bags.

Charming hotel The room was lovely decorated and facing the church in the heart of Arendal We just had to come out of our room to reach breakfast on the same floor The Breakfast room was lovely and peaceful with a great view on the water The food was very nice and the variety of freshly made juices were a big plus We had to leave early but wished I could have visited this lovely town- next time!

The parking nearby could be a bit more "user friendly" showing the exit for pedestrians. And if it is still under the management of Thon Hotel (or not?) then the parking could have been paid at the reception.

Good Thon hotel with all the facilities and options you could expect from it. They have a nice little bonus that if you visit fitness then you get a protein bar for that :)

So glad I have chosen this hotel. Loved it from the first moment. All procedures - Check in, check out, recommendations, special request - all has been done absolutely perfectly. Special thanks to pleasant members of staff at reception (and those on night duty). Breakfast absolutely stunning, so much to choose of and loved the local products. Beautiful way of presenting everything. Freshly squeezed orange juice and many different types of coffee also a good option. Superb personal. Not forgetting all is served on top floor overlooking bay and town....perfect start into new day. So relaxing. Room yet again great, clean, comfortable, with fridge/mini bar, safe, iron board. Spacious. Nicely equipped gym. Public parking in "across the street" building. NExt time passing through Arendal, for sure will stay again. Many thanks to all. Tomas

Resepsjon, cleaning, frokost. The hotel does not looks clean, the toalete in the room was not clean, beside the bed was not clean. Thon Maritm Stavanger is the beste one! Thon Arendal is not for us.

The hotel was ok, but looking at the price we paid per night (twohundredseventy) for a standard double room, we expected a lot more!! It was just standard, nothing special. Not at all worth the high price! We were really disappointed. Our view was on a shabby bowling center and parking garage. The building itself was also surprisingly dowdy from outside. Inside was ok. I would not book it again.

The breakfast selection though was great and the gym well equipped. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

Crowded and lot of people who where not staying at the hotel at the breakfast at 17th. of may, in these Covid 19 times. We had to get a table outside.
