How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Owners were extremely friendly and very helpful. Perfect place to stay if going to the train and leaving your car. Very comfortable for our time we were there.

Face cloth was very thin need replacing.
Office person was very helpfull, our train was late an she kept office open. Very helpfull with knowledge of area. Ten minute walk from train station. Fifteen - twenty minute fast walk to westfield mall. Bus does a big loop easy to ride on.

I didn't see any staff as I arrived late and left early so can't comment on this aspect. Nothing negative to say about the stay.
Self check in was very user friendly. The stay was quite convenient for walking to the train station to grab the Tranzalpine train. Clean place with comfortable beds.

Might be good if tetra pack milk (200ml) is one per person not 1 small tetra pack to 3 persons...even if there is additional payment..

Maybe just the water in the shower. We tried to do the on/off option for 3 mins but the water pressure is really slow and if you increase the pressure, it will be cold.
The motel is 3 mins walk away from the event venue so super handy location. A lot of restaurants nearby. The staff are also helpful and allowed us to keep our luggage while they get the room ready.

It was really only little things and it didn’t make the stay bad. It would have been nice to have some wine glasses in the rooms, extra blankets especially in winter. Our 2nd room had a hairdryer but our room didn’t have one so we ended up sharing. Been down stairs close to the room made it quiet nosy at nighttime. However still such a great place to stay!
The location for shows at the Canterbury arena is perfect! Also so close to Tower Junction so that’s even more helpful. The rooms are a great size and warm up so quickly especially in the chilly winter. Also it’s really easy to find! Great parking so that your off the road.

Unit was dated and lacked space in one of the bedrooms. Bathroom only had one towel rail which is not enough when 4 people are using the unit. Wifi very slow.
Staff pleasant and helpful and organised a change of unit when there were shower problems.

No way of washing dishes after the 2nd day as no liquid was resupplied and very little soaps etc supplied in the bathroom . Also mirror light in the bathroom smashed and not repaired .
Location suited us . Always available carpark for us . Near to Highway76 when leaving .

Handy to the railway station. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating including a free lift to catch our train in the morning. Comfortable, budget accommodation.

The shower didn’t work properly on my first night but very quickly seen to by management.. After that it was perfect.. I had trouble with the heating, couldn’t find the remote to the heat pump but once again promptly seen to by management..
The location is perfect for walking to events at the Arena..

On arrival we were put into a room that did not match what I had booked but we were promptly changed to the right room. The bed was not very comfortable and was like two singles put together thus creating an uncomfortable roll together. No spare toilet roll and it wasn't replenished during our two night stay.
Location was perfect for our concert at the stadium. Was great at night with minimal road noise. The staff member we dealt with on arrival was friendly and helpful.

Might book ground floor next time.
For being on main road it was very quiet. Great location. Near tower junction and main arterial route for bus if needed. Offered shuttle to rail station. Will be back.

The wifi didn’t work during the stay so we had to use mobile data
Staff turn on heaters in advance for us so it was super warm when we came in. Love it
