Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

South AfricaOur rooms fridge freezer didn't work. I think for the outside patio leading into the room, a doormat of some sort. The Hotel was under maintenance which was a bit of a sight and the spa pool was also undergoing maintenance and not able to be made use of. Due to busy restaurant and check-ins getting hold of Reception could be proving a task.
The stay was pleasant and it's got a lovely natural set of pools overlooking the ocean. The beds was comfortable and it's got a nice feel to it.

New ZealandWe have been going to The Copthorne for 14 years and it is now looking very dated in the rooms. The carpet was frayed and needed replacing. The bathroom was very old and in need of an upgrade. Sad to see it looking like that as it’s one of our favourite places.

New ZealandTired. The buffet breakfast was pretty horrid. Highly processed and very little to eat if you had allergies. Staff/ chef wouldn’t flex to cater for family with allergies.. extremely rude. One other table in restaurant so not like she was busy. Wouldn’t include breakfast again. Go into town and have a fantastic experience at third wave cafe or somewhere else.
