How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Just the parking. There was one other let down in that the restaurant was closed for renovations, but in saying that we enjoyed finding new restaurants at the Octagon.
Everything was great, only let down for us was the parking. With a big vechile parking was a bit of a challange, they have a few user pay parks on site which we were lucky enough to get, these cost $15 per night. Breakfast was well worth it, which I could of eaten more.

Everything was fine for the amount of time I was there. It was priced correctly. Communication was very prompt through Booking.com

It was a pity their restaurant worked only for breakfast. This is likely a result of the post-covid lack of skilled employment.
The hotel is centrally located and it is easy to go for a walk or to го то some of the many restaurants. The studio was fantastic, spacious, clean and comfortable.

Noisy neighbours. Seemed to be very little soundproofing.
Teenage daughter loved having a big bed to herself. Room was all that we needed.

There was significant issues with wifi during the stay and although the staff tried very hard to resolve this issue it remained very sporadic.
A bit tired but clean and a good location. Parking on site. The breakfast had a good selection

There’s no hairdryer in the room, the shower curtain was basically useless at stopping the bathroom from becoming a swimming pool. One of the chairs in our room was broken. The rooms don’t have a lot of sound proofing, which led to a neighbouring room banging on our wall at 5:30pm to be quiet. I had two teenage boys with me who were having a laugh at the time and I didn’t think 5:30 was late at night! It’s getting pretty dated, but it’s a 3 star hotel and it was really affordable so you get what you pay for. I’d have liked a restaurant to be open on site, I know there’s a lot of places available close by, but a restaurant would have been good. The breakfast restaurant is pretty small and sometimes people couldn’t get a table.
The location is great, except for the parking which could be better. I paid the extra $15 a night for allocated parking, which was fine but I wouldn’t have liked to try and get a park without it. We got breakfast included in our room rate. There was toast, bagels, cereal, fruits, baked beans, hash browns, eggs and bacon. As well as coffee and juice. We found this adequate and enjoyable as part of our room rate, but I wouldn’t have wanted to pay the $30 per head for it. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds are comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

It was fine, but the hotel seems to have restricted to TV volume to only go to 60% , which is probably to spare the other hotel guests from inconsiderate neighbors blaring TVs. However it was set a little too low in volume for folks like myself who are a little hard of hearing. My other slight annoyance is the foyer vending machine is a mess, because it is missing product numbers and the numbers that are visible are totally out of sequence, so it’s a bit of a lotto as to what you’ll get if you select a number. I don’t blame the hotel here, it’s the slacker vending company who’s at fault.
Central to whole downtown area , clean, well priced and good value form money.
