Nothing to dislike

Beautiful place. Clean spacious room and bathroom. Lovely pool and jacuzzi. We borrowed the bicycles on offer and they were good. We went 45km on them- not bad for free bikes! The property is very near the Old Lower Shotover bridge which links up with many cycling trails.

Wasn’t anything really, perhaps having some baking dishes for the oven as when we went to cook there weren’t any.

Beautiful location. Loved walking around the grounds and taking in the views. Being able to sue the bikes. Our accomodation had breathtaking views of the mountains and our time there was very relaxing. Playing bocce outside with Oscar spectating was a fun memory too.

Would love to have stayed forever. We stayed in the upper level apartment. It had stunning views from our lounge and balcony. The grounds around are immaculate. Flowers all round the grounds. Heated pool , outdoor spa. Recommended to all. Special thanks to John and Oscar. Lovely man and cheeky cat.

Bugs outside were minimal but still couldn't sleep with the windows/glass doors open since there weren't any screens. Only a minor inconvenience. I wish there were ice trays in the freezer. The couple next to me gave me theirs, but that didn't help the immediate issue. All in all, there are no real complaints.

John's personal greeting upon arrival was a wonderful touch to a nice couple of days at his extremely well maintained lodge. He was kind enough to introduce me to the other guests staying at the lodge during my stay and the resident cat, Oscar. The room was large and very clean and organized. It was nice to have the cooking ability. The bed and linens were very comfortable.

Staff were very friendly, encouraged us to use facilities like spa and sauna which were top quality but the best part was the view, which is in sight from all rooms.

Stunning location with great surrounding views. Spacious and comfortable apartment with all the amenities. Great hosts. The mountain bikes available for use were a real bonus. Will definitely be back!

There was no shelf in the shower to put stuff on but that’s all .

Peaceful environment. Spa pool and bikes were great. Very clean and tidy . We had a 1 bedroom apartment . Beautiful view and not far from town. We would definitely stay again .

The Manata homestead is located in a beautiful and peaceful setting near the Shotover river. The studio was very well appointed and very comfortable. The bed was enormous and so comfy. Swimming pool and sauna were really appreciated. The view is breathtaking .

Check in was odd in that we had no idea where to go. Luckily, we pulled into the correct spot and found our key on a foyer table. Also didn’t easily find facilities that were onsite. It might be helpful to provide more details/map prior to arrival.

Everything! We have travelled the whole of NZ and this is the nicest accommodation and great value for money. Beautiful place, full self contained with a bathtub, little extras like salt and pepper, makeup wipes, liquid soaps. Beautuful views. Close to Queenstown Central and only 9km out of Queenstown main center. Good communication with host. Highly recommend ❤️

Difficult to reach using public transport, still quite a walk from nearest bus stop. need your own transport, or anticipate high taxi fares.

Great communication from proprietor, really helpful with an unexpected problem. Facilities were of high quality, exceptionally clean and very comfortable bed. fantastic view of ski field.

The only things lacking were small items like. hairdryer and tissues.

The lodge boasted a very spacious room with a kitchenette. Bonus there were two toilets in our room. stunning views of the mountains and great shares amenities (bikes, books, sauna). Great for families.
