How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

No lock on bathroom door as it was a disabled room, which we didn't ask for. Wasn't an issue though..
Convenience to airport. Excellent shuttle service that even picked us up from car rental company

Very basic hotel but I was only there for a short time so not really important. I did think it was a bit expensive for the basic nature of the hotel. However NZ does appear to be very expensive for accommodation. Whilst the shuttle bus was supplied it is not overly easy to find with the construction going on around the area.

I thought the bathroom was a bit tired/dated. Shower curtain over bath, dont see that very often.
We stayed Saturday night. Super quiet. Comfortable beds, spacious room.

This was a first class airport hotel. The shuttle service was superb. The reception staff excellent. We had a nice snack and drink in the excellent bar.n We didn't hear an aircraft at any time. A great night's sleep and we were on our way.

I specifically requested a quiet room and we seemed to end up with the total opposite - we were at the back of the property meaning we heard road noise and also noise from the aircon units outside. Despite being stood where was suggested on the info received from hotel via booking.com, the bus ended up picking up from another spot and we missed it, it was then a further 30mins wait for the bus to come back round to the terminal to collect us Room itself could have done with an update
Staff provided a late check out free of charge which was much appreciated for our afternoon flight Accomodation provided pick up from airport and drop off the next day - this was the main reason I selected this particular hotel Nice spa-style bath and also lovely bathroom products provided Hotel lobby was also modern and had bar

The bed was quite uncomfortable and there were a number of hairs found.on towels, pillows and in the beds

It was a bit tired, carpets in public area were very worn although our room was fine.
Convenient location for our needs, Swimming pool was very clean and relaxing, The Post Office pub was just around the corner and did good food.

Nothing. It’s on an industrial estate so no view and not many other services around but we found The Post Office pub a short walk away did good food.
Free airport shuttle. Friendly helpful staff . Large pleasant room. Good breakfast.

The only thing is the shuttle. Drivers are good but it seems very random. No list of people who have booked a specific shuttle- means you can miss out. And return from airport can also be a bit of a shambles.
We had a refurbished room on top floor. It was very quiet, spacious and comfortable. Great restaurant. Staff are very helpful and friendly. We always use this hotel when traveling overseas and will continue to.

Staffs were not friendly, one was even rude to us. Hallway is quite old with worn-out carpets.
Rooms are spacious with two regular size double beds. AC in the room is quite alright, air in the room is fresh enough. Food in the restaurant is good. Convenient and free airport shuttle bus service.

The attitude of the head person at the restaurant. The work on the property noise early morning.
The location is great. The staff is welcoming and friendly and the beds are comfortable. The food at the restaurant is very good but my Irish coffee turned out not to be decaf despite asking twice which triggered a challenging night.

Far from CBD - had to Uber in. On-site dining was convenient but seemed rather pricy.
Close to airport. Nice, up to date rooms & beds & bathroom. Did not have car so unsure about parking.
