It’s not in a very walkable area but the Ubers around town are super cheap. No streaming only local cable on tv.

Really enjoyed this hotel and one of the only hotels I actually chose to use the facilities on site and hang out at. The bar, pool, restaurant, takeaway, and gift shop were all really good.

Ask if the room has a Smart TV. They still have crappy old Panasonic 32" no USB or Smart TV's in the building that are more than 10 years old. Piece of crap TV's. I can't believe that the RIU would not upgrade their TV's to Smart TV.

The elevators were a little slow. The only problem I had with the room is that the bathroom lighting would illuminate the bedroom area when turned on while people are asleep.

The cleanliness of the entire hotel. The rooms were very spacious and very clean. The employees always greeted the guests with a smile. The staff was very helpful with booking excursions and transportation.

The soap in the bathroom finished on the 3 day and I requested it to be refilled which was never done also you need to do a better package to deal with late checkouts based on availability

The Riu never disappoints. Everytime I'm in Panama City 🇵🇦 I stay and from the delicious breakfast the room service the always helpful staff. Everything is always as close to perfect as can be. The rooms are immaculately and cleaned daily.

The internet fluctuated sometimes and the language barrier made communicating difficult at times

The staff was welcoming, helpful and well mannered. The hotel was clean and there was an amazing smell especially in the lobby area. The location was very close to the airport, the malls, shops and food outlets. The breakfast was bountiful with many options for different palates, the capable staff assisted and made recommendations when asked. It will be remise of me if I don't say a special thanks to Ana, she will always greet us with a happy smile which was appreciated. Riu thanks for the surprise birthday platter it was tasty and well appreciated. Despite the stay was too short (I didn't want to leave) it was clear to me that this hotel aim to please, the little gestures to make our stay memorable did not go unnoticed.

We spent our last night in Panama at the Riu Plaza following our excellent experience the night of our arrival in the country. This time, we chose to stay in a Senior Suite, which was super spacious and quiet — it was also on a high floor with a sea view, which once again gave us fantastic views over the city to the sea. As with our first stay but 10 days earlier, we enjoyed a sumptuous and plentiful buffet breakfast, with excellent fresh, cold, cooked and baked food choices. We experienced a very clean hotel, with attentive staff, in a great location for getting out and about in Panama city.

We had an excellent night’s sleep following our 12 hour flight. Our spacious room was on a high floor with a sea view, which gave us fantastic views over the city to the sea. We enjoyed a sumptuous and plentiful buffet breakfast, with excellent fresh, cold, cooked and baked food choices. We experienced a very clean hotel, with attentive staff, in a great location for getting out and about in Panama city.
