Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

I enjoyed the luxury of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. The amenities were excellent and it was a relaxing experience - exactly what we needed after 4 days of camping and hiking the Inka trail.

The hotel is located in a quiet and discrete plaza just a few steps from the main Plaza Mayor. We enjoyed the tranquility that one feels inside the hotel despite the proximity to a very busy main square. The facilities are stunning: a tasteful colonial residence with a very well curated arrangement of antiques in a dialog with indigenous elements without feeling staged or overpowering. Everything has its right place, from the wooden doors to the amazing scent of eucaliptus all around. The service is exelent. Attentive staff always making you feel at home and they reaaally care about solving anything for you, reliable for any sort of request and situation.

United KingdomBig let down... there was extremely poor housekeeping where used water glasses from the previous night remained unchanged, the bathrooms were left dirty with shampoo bottles open, soap wrappers left in the shower, hair in the bathtub. The hot water bottles were left inside the bed from the night before exactly as we left them in the bed. No laundry bag. This type of house keeping is not expected from an R&C property. This was a two star housekeeping service.

United StatesWe stayed in a large suite on the upper floor which was beautiful, no doubt, with a lot of history and charm, however the reception service is almost nonexistent and outweighs any positives here. I arrived on a Friday at 8pm and the doors were bolted shut. Our taxi driver needed to bang on the door until someone opened for us. We had several suitcases and no one offered to help us carry them up until we handed the bags to them. We did not feel any form of warm welcome after our long journey from the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge - no coca tea or beverage which is typical of a five star hotel. When comparing service and quality of all the Belmond’s we stayed at during our trip (Miraflores in Lima, Hiram Bingham, and Sanctuary Lodge) they consistently blew this “luxury boutique” out of the water. I wish we just booked the Belmond Nazarenas just across the street and regret experimenting with another hotel. This is the first time staying at a Relais & Chateau, and I am honestly not sure what standards they are held to or uphold, but I was VERY DISSATISFIED. The bathroom door also does not lock. There’s a space heater in the suite. There is no restaurant that I am aware of in the hotel. We were starving upon arrival and we were told to hail our own taxi to get across the main plaza to scramble for food at any bodega within 30 minutes before anything closed.
