Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing major, the lock to the bathroom kept coming off and wouldn't latch back on. Seemed broken but wasn't a big problem as the room was very nice overall. Air conditioner also took a bit of time to come on and cool the room.
Experience was really amazing at this hotel. It was in Station 3 which is a little farther from the busiest part of the island which is why we chose it. 5 minute walk from the 7/11 and some nice bars. The staff were so accommodating and friendly, always ready to help or even just greet us whenever we walked past. They left a cute note with some flowers and swan towels on our bed for our anniversary which was so nice. The rooms weren't too big, just the right size for a couple and the bathroom was very nice with a rain shower! The room service was also great and very quick, and the food was so good. We even requested to stay an extra day because we were enjoying our Boracay experience so much and it was approved right away without hassle and added onto our checkout bill. We loved seeing the pristine blue water as soon as we walked into reception because the hotel is open, and we could just walk out right onto the beach. There were also comfy cushioned seats just outside by the walkway on the sand - a great place to relax! The bar/restaurant next to reception had great service and atmostphere, you could sit and chill with some amazing shakes and great cocktails (Happy hour 12-6pm!) and look out onto the water, perfect for when we watched the insanely beautiful sunset with a drink whilst an amazing live singer played his guitar and sang beautiful songs by the bar. One of the best parts of our entire holiday, really made the whole atmosphere romantic and incredible. Overall an amazing Boracay experience. I've included photos of the view of the sunset from the hotel, no filters or editing whatsoever :)

VietnamVilla Caemila is a beautiful hotel by the sea. The staff were excellent, always with a smile on their face. The hotel gave us many gifts such as necklaces and drinks which we were very thankful for. The room was spacious and everything was there for a perfect holiday. Room service was amazing, the hotel gave out small little treats in the afternoon. Location is walking distances to all bars , restaurants and the Dmall area. Plus, there were jazz music played every night which was so relaxing. Simply recommended if you want to stay in Boracay and on the quiet part of the beach. Lots of love to all the staff. N.T.V

AustraliaI didn't like the fact that the breakfast and meals didn't cater for Filipinos as much as I wanted.
I like the hotel ambiance and friendly staff. The front office and restaurant staff where friendly. Wendy, Christy, Roma and Carlo specially. Sorry if I've missed anyone out. Whoever was working at the restaurant or front office where great.

United KingdomNothing. Exceptional stay.
Everything. Hotel is just as described if not better. 2 rooms, one for my Father with complimentary upgrade and one for myself. 10/10 amazing customer service and brilliant, friendly staff. Comfortable rooms with everything working how it should. Great food and service in the restaurant and bar. Fantastic boutique service all round, including a well thought through welcome for check in and a turn down service. Location also great in station 3, just a short walk to the busy station 2 but quiet and far enough from all of the noise.

NorwayThe mirror in the bathroom and the spicy sausage in the breakfast menu. There should be another option of sausage.
We liked the comfortable bed, size of the room, strong water pressure, view of the beach from the lobby/dining hall, refrigerator in the room, Ritual handwash soap, and the staff like Carlo, Maverick, Paul, Wendy, Roma and Christy. Even the cleaners of the room did their job well. The location of the hotel was quite and relaxing.

PhilippinesBe prepared to walk when going to other spots on the island. The hotel is situated in the middle of station 3 - it takes a few minutes walk going to the main road, or to station 2/D'Mall. But its going to be a lovely walk on the beach though so you probably won't mind too much. The perk of being in station 3 is its not as crowded and its much more quiet if you want some peace and relaxation.
Right at the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and gave a really good impression of what Villa Caemilla is all about. Its the little details that made the difference. With this being my first time in Boracay, the experience staying with Villa Caemilla made it really special and memorable. I enjoyed my stay so much that I booked a balcony room for my brother and his wife as a gift for their wedding last April (on a different hotel booking website) because I know they will really be taken care of. I did add a special instruction for honeymoon when I booked and they absolutely delivered with a special note and flowers on the room when my brother and his wife arrived. I can't thank Villa Caemilla enough for making their honeymoon so awesome and memorable.

United KingdomVilla Caemilla is well located on the white beach but a bit removed from the busiest area. The reception, restaurant and bar staff are great. The food at the restaurant and the drinks at the bar are good. Check-in and check-out were seamless. The superior deluxe room was clean and spacious enough for one-two people. Some signs of tear and wear but everything worked well.

IrelandThere is nothing I could fault from initial welcome to check out.
Right on the beach in a much more relaxed spot on the main beach, far enough away from the busy commercial end, but close enough to walk up and join in the more touristy side of things.

New ZealandThe only thing I didn’t like was the walk to the other stations but it wasn’t a major.
We loved the peace and tranquility of the property! as soon as you arrive you are greeted with the loveliest staff. they are very accomodating and also will try their hardest to come to your needs! It was by far the best stay we’ve had in a very long time! And I would recommend it to couples and families that are wanting somewhere a bit more quiet and relaxing in Boracay.
