“Great location near to amenities and in the heart of the village”

  • “The property grounds were amazing with full of orange and olive trees. From the property, we took the old Roman stone trail leading to the medieval town. Ingrid, the housekeeper, not only provided us with GF bread, but baked us a delicious GF cake with the oranges from the garden. Her husband beautifully maintains the garden with nice decorative touches. They were both very welcoming and accommodating.”

  • “Amazing little stone casa/suite decorated with taste and thought in every "touch", incredibly comfy bed with lovely linens, peaceful & idyllic setting (very quiet and away from it all 🙏), delicious breakfast, picking our own oranges (and the tastiest we've ever had), the fountain with mountain spring water for drinking, the Old Roman Road / path to the unbelievable village of Monsanto, and lovely hosts. Many thanks to Ingrid & her husband for making us feel so welcome and comfortable. 😊”

“Everything. Fantastic apartment in great location. Best balcony and view in Monsanto I reckon.”

  • CASA DO CASTELLO MONSANTO Review score: 8.3

“The room was on the bottom part of a renovated stone house, it really gave that freling of cozy, not too tall rooms that caracterizes these type of houses. Part of the bathroom wall was actually a stone, and that gave it a really cool feature. We had two separate beds pulled closer, loved the linen with flowers and the bed was confortable. The lady who looked after the rooms was lovely and explained a bit where to walk around. The owners have one of the two restaurants in the village, where you can get a nice meal. They had plenty of delicacies for sale as well. The duck rice and the "moelas" were really tasty. A heads up, take cash with you. They dont have a POS, the only other way to pay is MBWAY but thats for portugese nr/banks.”
